Sledding/Winter Fun

We finally got to go sledding this year! It started to get warm, but not warm enough to melt all our snow yet. We went to Clark's Park and were the only ones there. So much fun - look at happy Carter's face!
My Boo and Landon went down on the purple sled a bunch of times.
Carter took his brother down a couple times. Teague had the biggest grin on his face everytime.
My smiley boy. He got a little chilly after awhile and sat with Kyle in the truck. He was a trooper though. Sometimes he just walked up the hill and ran down for fun!
I like this picture with the sun going down and my Ave going up. I love sledding. I could never live somewhere where it was warm all the time. Snow is good for kids!
My kiddos. I just love them. We had a great day!
Erica, Landon, Avery, and Carter packed into the purple sled for a couple rides. They looked quite happy about it.
Carter decided to try to jump on Erica and crashed into the snow. This face makes me laugh!
Mom and son picture - very nice.
Mom and daughter picture - also very nice.
Ave made a nice snow angel before we left. She was very proud of how it turned out and asked me to take a picture for her.
She looked so cute in this outfit (thanks Kelsie and Grandma and Grandpa Barsness). She didn't want to smile for me though.
Time to make a snowman. The snow was melting a little bit so it was perfect to pack together.
She told me today she was Queen of the Mountain, but she was a mean Queen and I should be careful.
Mr. Blue Eyes is the nicest guy in the world. He's happy 96% of the time - that's my estimate anyway.
They were cooking for Poppa in their restaurant, he requested Chicken Gizzards and Fried Trematodas. Luckily they had those. I love Ave's smile in this!
We had to patch up our snowman a little bit. Ave decided to shake his hand as well.
The big boys and Poppa had a snowball fight. Both of them ended up with snow in one eye. They were fine. I made them take this funny picture to remember the moment!
A day playing out in the snow wears a kid out. She passed out while talking to Jordan. She also spent the night with Erica last night while we were at the Police "Christmas in January" party. Terri and Jordan watched the Teagie Pie. Thanks everyone, we had lots of fun.

Ave's party and more!

Ave looked so cute the other night in Carter's baseball hat. They were wearing hats and wielding weapons - you know, like a normal night at any house!
Carter was wearing Ave's dance backpack as well. It was packed with many supplies like dice and sunglasses.
My smart boy told us he was Student of the Month in November. However, he had no details except that he thought his teacher and principal told him that. Turns out...he was right! I don't know if they hang up the certificates on the wall for awhile, but we this came home in his backpack last week. Turns out Landon was Student of the Month in November for his class too. He didn't mention it to Erica at all! They are smart cousins, just not well informed. We are very proud!
 They are also superheroes!
We love Teague's new Hulk pajamas. He walks around and says, "Hulk smash" over and over and over again.
Ave had her birthday party on the 12th. As usual, it was at Silver Bow and as usual, she had lots of fun! It was super cold and the flu is going around (Poor Grandma Burgman had it) so we didn't have our usual crowd. It was still great. Grandma and Grandpa Barsness braved the roads, and she was very excited to see them.
Abb and Jord were very excited to give her this Belle and Beast doll they got for her in Disneyland. She loves it! She took it over to Auntie Erica's the next day to show her how awesome it is.
She was not as shy as usual. She said "thanks" to everybody and read every card like a good girl.
Teague and Liam looked so cute together riding on the racecar. Of course, I couldn't get them both to look at me at the same time!
See? Still cute!
She had a beautiful BRAVE cake this year. She loves that movie, Merida is super cool!
Imagine that...I didn't put in the candles where she wanted them. I never do anything right! She is too independent sometimes. I'm thinking that comes with being too smart.
Landon's singing face. I'm not sure what Ave is doing.
Carter massacred his cake. I'm not sure why it has to be stabbed. He looks good in his 49ers shirt though. Go 49ers! Go anyone but the Patriots!
What a cheesy cake face! I can't believe my girl is 4 already!
Madisyn was amazing at this basketball game. Dad said she shoots better than most of his sophomore basketball team1
Teague loves his Poppa. This is also a nice picture of Poppa's new shirt we got him for Christmas. It makes me laugh, and it's perfect for an English teacher. It says, "Let's eat Grandma." Then underneath, "Let's Eat, Grandma." Then "Commas save lives". I love it! Thanks so much for everyone coming and partying with us. We appreciate our families so much!

These pictures are way out of order. Apparently every other time I try to use the blog, it will be stupid. Such is life. Anyway, here are some outdoor pictures. We've had weird fluffy snow unfortunately. No good for sledding or snowball fighting. It works for shoveling though!
These two were hiding out in the little house (which they have filled with their gang graffiti as you can see) so Poppa couldn't hit them with piles of snow from his shovel.
Auntie Erica, Landon, Avery, and Teague hung out in the tree for a little bit. That's always fun!
I love this little face!
Since we couldn't make an actual snowman, we made this happy mound of snow. It was still fun!
This bulldozer was a present for Carter when he turned 1. We have gotten a lot of use out of it!
My little girl turned 4 on January 1st! I can't believe it! She should not be that old yet. Time is passing much too quickly for me.
She's having her party on the 12th, but she had a spaghetti dinner, cake, and gifts with the family on her real birthday. She had a good time!
Yes! Mary Poppins! I was pretty happy Auntie Erica got this for her. I can't wait to watch it with her.
Here she is in all her Ariel stuff with her baby Ariel and toddler Ariel that Grandma and Poppa gave her that night. She looks so cute - what a smile.
Poppa picked these out special for Carter and put them in his Christmas stocking. Carter is always telling everyone he is a scientist and paleontologist. He has to look the part. He wore these over his has when we took a walk the other night, and they are great for eating pizza.
Poor worn out girl. This did not look comfortable at all - don't worry, I moved her.
We went to a birthday party for baby Kolt on the 29th. It's hard to believe he's 1 already. This is definitely our busy birthday season for friends and kids.
These two are goofballs and awfully funny.

Dana and I and our baby boys. Kolt is bigger than Teague already!
He really enjoyed his Spiderman birthday cake!
All 6 of the Stevens/Barsness kids. They have a good time together, and so do we!

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
