Summer Fun!

Carter loves his Buster Bear.
We made it up to the Folk Festival this year! We had Paella, ribbon fries, snow cones...all the good stuff!
These two had a blast dancing to some Cajun music!
We sat with my friend Becca, and all the kids did some dancing!
Look at Brae's ponytail flying!
Bentlee had to get out of his stroller to dance also. He loves Teague!
Teague was trying to copy all his movements. The crowd loved it.
They had to get dessert of course. Ave and Teague went with some dipping dots, and Carterman had a funnel cake. We love the folk festival!
We met Leena and Lori and some other friends a couple times this year for Spikeball in the Park! It was so much fun! The first time we went it was about 90 degrees. Boo found a good way to cool off by dumping a water all over herself.
Sweaty happy kids. I did two pictures here because I love Teague's strawberry poses. Pose #1
Pose #2
What a beautiful sunset!
Time to go see Ant-Man and Wasp. This movie was hilarious and didn't make Teague mad. Yay!
Oh Buster...he loves to dig in the garden.
We ran into my friend Josie on the trail. She was getting pictures of the sunset and snapped one of me and my adventurers.
Happy 31st Birthday Little Kyle! I love you and miss you and think of you every day. Keep playing songs for me at lunchtime! I appreciate them.
I have so many pictures of this fluffy little dog. I can't help it. I just love him!
Ave's got her own summertime style, and I'm digging it. She really really loves to ride her bike.
Papa and Buster spent a good portion of the summer out in the yard. I did too. There is nothing better than reading a book and feeling the sun shine down!
Time for another trip to the pool. Nancy rented a cabana, and we had a blast!
Baby Cooper was there! He was looking good in his swim outfit.
Jordan always has a snuggle with Cooper. They are going to be buddies for sure!
Those are some bike riding legs right there!
Two Giants fans and a curled up Buster.
Teague had been begging me to go for a hike. We, of course, picked the hottest day ever to go. By the last couple pictures, you will see some very red faces!
We went up to Maude S. Canyon. It's a fun hike with lots of big boulders to climb on.
Plus it's got a great view!
He only complained about a thousand times on the way up. He loves to make it to the top though.
What a beautiful sky. I love Butte.
Ave brought a bag with snacks. She's a thinker.
I love this picture. These two really are best friends.
You can tell she was a little sweaty. Her hair was curling right up.
So much wild lupine up there!
Happy 62nd Birthday to the best Papa I know. Wine and Pie really made his day!
Pecan is his new favorite. It's pretty tasty!
Decorating some nerds with whipped cream! They didn't have a problem with it.
This is what happens when Kyle laid on the floor to fix some chairs that I re-covered. Buster thought it was the perfect time to kiss him a million times!
We did some redecorating in the kitchen and dining room. We've got shades of blue and gray everywhere now. I really like how it turned out!
One more hike. This time we went up to Thompson Park.
Buster's first hike was a success. He loved it!
Carter was protesting as usual, but he ended up having a good time.
Made it to a tunnel. It was a perfect way to cool off. It's super creepy though in the middle.
I love summer. These pictures make me long for it.
Kind of a cute picture actually. Teague always makes a stick friend when we hike!
Papa and Carter are best buds. Carter stays at my parents' house pretty much every weekend. He helps my Dad a lot though.
They found some old railroad spikes.
Buster loved the little streams around there. He is a big fan of water!

Seattle/New Pool

I was pretty spoiled this summer. After our San Francisco adventure, I jetted off to Seattle with my sisters and Callie for the Harry Styles concert. We had planned for a long time. It kind of snuck up on us. We arrived very early in the morning (we left for Bozeman at 4:00 am) and wandered Seattle until our hotel room was ready.
If I lived in Seattle, I would go broke buying flowers, fruit, and seafood. These were gorgeous!
Mmm...all of us were excited to have some fresh sea food while we were there.
We literally had nothing to do the first day that we were there. We decided to hit up the aquarium because...why not? Animals are cute! Kels was quite brave feeling all the sea creatures. I did too. Erica and Callie, not so much. These sea cucumbers were so slimy!
The sea urchin hugs your finger!
Twinsies under some moon jellyfish!
My traveling companions. Erica looked way too nice to be hanging out with us.
We caught a sea lion show. They were quite entertaining!
Nice jump!
My favorite! These otters were so cute! One of them was giving the other one a massage and cleaning his fur. They are adorable.
Clam chowder time. It was so good.
It's vacation! You can enjoy an adult beverage with lunch.
Callie and I wandered into a Donald Trump protest while we were shopping. We were impressed by the paper mache head they made. If you know me at all, you know I'm not a fan. We enjoyed this!
We also wandered into a giant Polish festival. They had singing, history, crafts, and food. It was pretty cool!
You have to have Starbucks if you are in Seattle. It's a rule I think.
This beer festival looked pretty insane. Tickets were way too expensive though. We just people watched.
Harry! He sounded absolutely perfect, and we had a blast.
Our seats were really good. He was about four people away from us for a couple songs.
He looked very fancy that evening.
He can play guitar now too. Who knew?
Anyway, we had a lot of fun. It was nice to just wander and visit. 3 days was perfect too. We were ready to get back.
We arrived back just in time to taste test this cupcake war. Teague had really wanted to have a "bake-off" for awhile. Kyle helped them, and they all tasted great. We had classic red velvet, a vanilla with fruit, smore's, and chocolate. Yum!
We finally made it to the new pool! Butte passed a bond a couple of years ago to build a new water facility. It was so worth it! By the end of the summer, the Parks Department said they doubled initial expectations. I know we loved it!
Kyle and Teague had fun in the lazy river.
Sisters and their boys - what a cute picture!
Hawkins is such a little weirdo sometimes, in the best way! He loves his Mama.
Baby Cooper enjoys the pool also. When it gets to hot, he likes dipping his feet in. He's such an easy going baby!
Hawkins loves the Boo, and she loves him too.
Happy children eating a pretzel.
Buster loves to dig. Teague made a hole in the yard for a plant, but it was too shady next to the lilac bushes. Now Buster just uses it to dig. As you can see, he gets just a little messy...
One more pool day! My friend Alicia was in for a visit. Ave and her little Brooklyn had a lot of fun playing together. She has sweet kids.
Bryson and Teague had fun too. We always love seeing them!

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
