Playing boys

The boys have to go outside, no matter what the weather. We at least got them to wear their hoods out in the rain. Erica and I said they looked like little gnomes. We used to love the cartoon "David the Gnome".

Carter loves to push stuff around. He pushed the lawn mower for awhile and then the police car. He thought he was very fast and absolutely hilarious.
We went to Fairmont on Sunday just for something to do. The boys were very good, and Abb and Jord were helpful as always. This is Carter during a fruitsnack break. I like this little face he's making.
Landon wouldn't smile at the table, but we did get this picture of his sweet hair.
I surprised Carter when he was opening and closing lockers - that's why he looks totally crazy. This face doesn't even look like him!
Just another playing outside picture. Landon made a basket - usually he puts the basket on his head!
Carter couldn't find a ball, so he decided to shoot the van in there instead. See how wet his pants are - he didn't care.
They were having a good time peeking through this ladder at eachother. They love to run up close and just laugh.
Carter stole Abbey's bowl of Ramen and chowed down on it. He was quite hungry this weekend - maybe if we're lucky, he'll put some weight on! We're running low on pants for him. He's too tall for the ones that fit his belly!
Landon has been obsessed with laundry lately. Everything he finds goes on his head. He had a little trouble figuring out this shirt!
Lando got a nice ride from Big Ky - as he calls him. He tripped by Kyle the other day, looked at him, and said "Uh Oh Big Ky"!
The boys got spoiled after the bath the other day. Grandpa was giving airplane rides! Carter has lovely form here.
This picture kills me (that huge smile!) - the towel seems to be hiking up a little bit too. Erica got some funny ones too. My camera was being too slow.
Even more fun - having a horsey ride after the airplane! He did not want to hold on as you can see.
Crazy Landon was definitely liking his orange popsicle! Orange is the one color the boys don't say very well - it's a tough one.
Carter was telling someone "No". That's his new thing. He's not mean about. If you ask if he wants to take a bath, he'll say "No" in his nice little voice. It's so helpful.
Carter got to wear his cool LSU shirt the other day. His Daddy thought he looked really good!
This picture is not very good, but they were being so funny. Landon was dragging Erica somewhere when Carter grabbed Landon's hand. Then the two boys just walked around holding hands for awhile. Carter was just making Landon walk back and forth between rooms. Lando kept looking at us like, "What is he doing?".

New stuff

Here's the silly Lando man showing me where his teeth are. He's a smart guy.

Here's the Carterman showing me where his teeth are. He's also a smart fellow.
This was down at C Street Park last Sunday. It was a beautiful day - in fact, it's been a beautiful week. He was marching around like he was on a mission.
This is Carter and my jungle dog, Laney. You can barely see her tail in there. They were having a good time tromping through the tall grass. We were picking some to feed the horses down the street.
Erica took this picture at about four in the morning last week. Landon wanted to stay up all night (and get his picture taken). He looks pretty happy about it.
Carter has become obsessed with this pink intertube. He puts it over his head - lets it fall down - and then shuffles all over the yard with it. He's very silly.
He's making a strange little face right here. The intertube is now inside the house and has gone up the stairs with Carter and also in the crib while the boys are jumping.
Carter got to wear his cool onesie from Kelsie to practice the other day. All the girls thought it was quite funny. He was, of course, charming also.
The boys really like to help "Mana" with dishes. They actually just like to rub bubbles on eachother and watch them dissolve.
This is quite the demented look. He was going up and down the stairs one night and laughing so hard about it. He's got blue popsicle all over his chin too.
He likes to try and slide down on his butt. He was going a little too fast in his pajamas so it's a good thing Grandpa had a hold on him.
Kelsie got Carter and Landon the cutest T-shirts. They were a big hit at daycare last week. Kyle wasn't pleased, but I told him if he got Carter a McCain shirt, he can wear that too. We try not to talk politics around eachother!
Landon looked very handsome in his also. He wore it to the volleyball game this week and got lots of compliments. Thanks Kelsie!
Carter was having a fantastic time bouncing on "Poppa" after his bath the other night. It looks like he was telling him a really interesting story too.
Here's both boys on Poppa after the bath. They like to climb all over him. I love Landon's hair in this picture!

Sorry again

Sorry everyone. I have been a busy girl lately (and kind of lazy). I will start making the updates weekly again!

Erica devised a fun game for the boys to play outside. It was called "pick up pinecones and throw them in the pool". Quite entertaining and vigorous! Carter and Landon ran all over the yard.

Landon really concentrated on his throws. He would stare into the water for awhile, and then throw them both at the same time. He's silly.
Carter thought this was a delightful game. Erica and I were freezing, but the boys don't care what the weather is like. They just enjoy being outside.
Carter will not wear this hat from Kelsie. I thought it would look lovely with his pants, so I had Erica put it on just long enough so I could snap a picture. He has no idea how cool he looks!
Kyle calls this the "Atlas" picture. He was helping Landon hold the ball up - I love the belly hanging out!
The exercise ball has become a big hit again lately. Carter just rolls it all over the house. Landon likes to bounce on it.
They have decided bouncing in the crib is fun! Usually Landon jumps like a wild man, and Carter just hangs on for dear life.
Both boys really like when there are bubbles in the sink. Carter likes to bring them out and show them to everyone. He is fascinated as you can see.
They are big on bouncing on people now. The will sit on Erica's lap or climb on anyone's legs while they are sitting on the couch. Carter likes to try and squash his sister.
More bubbles! They like to run through these ones or let them pop on their faces. It's quite amusing.
These new toys from Grandma and Grandpa Barsness are fun for everyone. Carter uses them as a bat and swings them like he's playing the Wii. I like this big smile.
We went to Sunburst over Labor Day Weekend. It was a nice visit even though the weather was chilly. Carter had a good time moving magnets from the fridge to the dishwasher to the washing machine...and so on.
He thinks he's really big. He kept trying to stretch out his little arms and touch both sides of the hallway. I like the tongue out/concentration look.
I know I'm biased, but he's awfully cute. Corn on the cob is one of Carter's favorite vegetables. He really likes sitting at the counter with all the adults in Sunburst.
We went out on the farm Sunday for Great Grandma Bonnie's birthday. There was tons of delicious food - Carter especially enjoyed the rice. He made a giant mess with that. He also had fun playing with Phil and Mary Jo and his new toys. He's giving Phil a string of cars/boats/trains/rockets so that he can hit them with his string of toys!
Now it's Mary Jo's turn! I have a pretty funny video to put up of this. Then you can see his fantastic swinging form. He might be a baseball player - who knows?
This is a very random picture. I'm not sure why we were all just hanging out on the couch together. Maybe Landon was talking to us (he calls me "Baboo", Carter is "Darder", and Mom is "Mana").
This was so funny. Grandpa was eating peanut butter (like he does sometimes) when Carter, Landon, and Jordan decided to join in. We had to get a picture because usually Landon hates peanut butter.
Mmm...delicious. I also think it's funny that Carter is using a plastic fork. I'll get more pictures up on Monday!

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
