End of July already!

I had to post this picture. I thought my Carterman looked absolutely hilarious in these Batman boxer briefs! Those legs are pretty awesome.
He kept jumping into every picture I was trying to take...so there ya go!
Teague has become obsessed with the word "bike". He loves Carter's old Cars bike, and he thinks it's funny when Laney lays on the grass (which looks fantastic).
He made me manuever the bike into the playhouse. He's lucky he's so cute, because he never sits still!
I love this picture! We took another fun trip up to Copper Mountain. It has been so beautiful around 8pm here - absolutely perfect weather!
He loves to help cut up olives whenever we have potato or macaroni salad. Ave came in later, and they worked together very well. Avery would hand him a couple olives, he'd slice them and say "order up", and Ave would dump them in the bowl. It was making me smile!
Friday was my Dad's birthday - 56! We had some delicious food and then my evil brother made Dad and Mr. Foley take shots with him. Dad can't say no to little Kyle.
Meanwhile...Teague was chowing on his and Avery's leftover red velvet cake. Ave picked that out for Poppa. She's decided it's delicious (we had it the week before for Little Kyle's birthday). Avery had to go watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics with Mom - I thought the torch lighting was pretty cool. Ave is very interested in all the different flags.
Camera thief!
We made it up to Evel Dayz for a little bit on Saturday afternoon. We heard there were some fun kids' activities up there. It's not too scary if you go during the day! They were checking out a crazy ride...the next picture.
It makes me queasy just looking at it. Crazy cousin Jordan rode this thing 5 times this weekend!
These two were next in line for a jumping thing with giant rubber bands. It looked very safe, and all the kids on it were having a blast...then thunder and a huge crack of lightning! Boo! They shut everything down, and we had to hide under a tree. Luckily they didn't seem too sad about it.
Poor Teague had a fever all day and an icky nose. I think he's getting some very painful teeth. Then he threw up. When his fever finally broke around 11:30pm, he begged me to take a bath. So, here is my midnight bathing beauty. Whatever makes the guy feel better!
He thinks he can dress himself. He kept holding up the shirt to his stomach and just laying it there!
I was happy to see him being silly and smiling again!
Last night we had a wonderful picnic dinner up at the new complex by the Kelly mine. It was awesome! The view is amazing, and it's a nice intersection of a bunch of walking trails.
Teague liked climbing on the picnic tables, but he'd rather sit on the cooler.
Silly face man!
Ha Ha  - they all look so silly.
We took a little walk up to the Granite Mountain Memorial when we were done eating. It's so neat what they've done up there. They have a big sign dedicating the memorial to the 2,500 miners that lost their lives in Butte. There are also bricks enscribed with names of people who donated. Here are half of the flags (all the nationalities of the miners).
I like my little striding Teague picture :)
Here are the other half of the flags - Ave made me read every country to her. She knew Italy's from watching gymnastics earlier on the Olympics!
Our view! It's not a great picture, but it shows how high up we were. A fun night all in all!

4 Videos finally!

It's been a long time since I've put up some videos! Here is the one puddle that was at the Copper Mountain complex. Teague was in heaven! More fun at Copper Mountain. Their was a flag up there, so Ave was singing "Grand Old Flag". Kelsie decided to put that on the end of a CD that she made for Erica (what a joker), and the kids love it. Please ignore my absolutely terrible voice and listen to cute Ave. Teague has some moves. I asked Kyle to play some music on the porch so I could try and get a video of Teague's dancing...so he's dancing to "Mother" by Danzig. Wow. Enjoy that hip action though. I still need to get a better one! And, last but not least, here are my superheroes. Enjoy "Flygirl" and "Armorguy". Teague makes a cameo also. You might have to watch it a couple times to hear all of Ave's powers (she was speaking a bit fast that evening)!

So Hot!

This is "Flygirl", my little superhero (not to be confused with the dancers on In Living Color)! She and Carter were making me laugh that night!
Teague is usually just like this - happy and laidback!
We are loving this summer time. Yes, it's been HOT,  but that's better than cold for me!
Mom got the kids candy necklaces. I used to love those when I was little. Carter really enjoyed his. I'm not sure what Lando is doing here...looking tough I guess! You can see the nice new sod behind the porch. It's looking good!
Rock star time! I was on the drums. I think Mom played the harmonica. Ave was the star of course, lead guitar and vocals.
Carter went with Mom, Erica, and Landon down to Billings to meet Dad after the Big Sky State Games. I had a nice weekend with Teague and Ave. We tried to get outside for picnics, walks, and playtime. We also went to a wedding reception Friday night. I thought Ave might be sad she didn't go on the trip. She was fine though. They loved Copper Mountain Friday night!
It has a great playground. We just don't get up there much because it always seems to be windy. There is no shade by the playground either, so you have to wait until things cool off. Friday was perfect though! Teague always love the swings.
I think this is when Boo saw all the geese flying in!
It was a gorgeous night - probably a perfect 70 degrees at that point! We played up there from about 8:30 until almost 10:00! Then we had to make a stop by Wendy's. They wore themselves out and needed a second dinner.
Avery named this the train station. We sang lots of railroad songs, "I've been working on the railroad" and "Peanut sat on a railroad track" were the favorites. These are the cheesiest grins I've ever seen!
Teague found the one puddle in the entire complex and got soaked!
They are so cute! We had lots of fun, but I was missing my Cartyman.
Ave was a little daintier than Teague. I had to take off his shorts, shoes, and socks before I put him back in the carseat!
Meanwhile...Carter was having a blast with Landon and Erica (I stole this from Erica's blog) in their suite. They said he was a super good boy on the trip. He had one freakout before dinner one night. Apparently he was exhausted and said, "You took me too many places!". Then he ate and was reenergized!
They went to the zoo (where Carter shared many animal facts that he learned from Wild Kratts), Chucky Cheese's, Toys 'R Us, and Red Lobster (where Carter loved the cheesy biscuits). I'm glad they had such a great time!
Dad brought Teague a stuffed T-Rex when he was in Spokane all week for a volleyball camp. Teague was so happy to see Poppa. He didn't want Dad to put him down...then he promptly passed out!

Folk Festival!

We finally got to meet Dana's new baby Colt. He's six month old and so cute! He was happy the whole time at my house. Teague kept walking up to him and saying, "Baby" because you know Teague is so big now!
He was such a cutie - he's starting to get the "Stevens' family" red hair now too.
All 7 - we had to take a few to get a decent one!
I love this picture! Abb and Jord hung out with us while Kyle and Teague took a nap. We've had a bad case of stomach flu going through the house. Kyle, Ave, and I all had it. Ave thought she was all better that day...
Ave threw up in the grass right when we got there...then ran way ahead of us and called us slowpokes. She is the best sick kid ever! After Abb got done hiding in the car (she's afraid of puke), she and Ave had a good time at the splash pad.
Ha Ha! Look at Carter abandoning Jordan under the bucket!
He loves sunglasses...if they are not his. He totally stole Jordan's and looked good in them too!
The dreaded carnival is in town. I have to say it went better than I expected. After Ave threw one giant fit, everyone had a blast. Here are the boys on the "boosters" as they named them.
Googles was fearless! I was worried about her because she gets carsick and just seems to have a delicate stomach. I shouldn't have worried. She made me go on the tilt-a-whirl four times, twice with just me and her.
The bumblebees were fun too. It was kind of a small carnival, but we got our moneys worth! All the kids loved the funhouses!
Our lazy Saturday morning. I love how Teague is leaning back to look at Avery.
Saturday afternoon after a nice walk to Poppa's house, poor Teague had some lunch and passed out! Carter put some of his many blue stuffed animals around him - what a nice big brother.
Teague missed out on a lot of activities this week. He's too little for the carnival, and he fell asleep when we were headed to the folk festival. Thanks Poppa for babysitting! The folk festival is amazing! It is by far my favorite event in Butte! Here are the boys being astronauts at the Children's stage.
Erica and Ave being rocketgirls!
This picture is cute!
The Park St. stage was awesome! There were a ton of vendors (Pit BBQ from Texas, authentic funnel cakes, California stir fry, Baskin Robbins...and the kids wanted Tropical Sno) and awesome Zydeco music. It reminded me of "The Princess and the Frog" music. The boys won those hats at an "Ore" toss game.
We found a little shade to listen to some music. It was fun!
One more picture!
Teaguers had to try on Carter's hat when we got back!
How cute is my little Mr. Blue Eyes? He's such a good boy.

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
