Welcome Hawkins!

I have a new nephew! My sister Erica welcomed Hawkins Matthew Vetter on the 17th. He was a big healthy 8lb 12oz and has a lovely head of hair. Mom and baby are feeling great too. Here he is in the sweet pea outfit that Aunt Terri got for Carter when he was a baby. So cute!
The little fella in the hospital. Everyone was happy to meet him. Sean, Erica, and Landon are all loving him! We love seeing him when we Facetime!
It was not as terribly cold last week. Boo wanted to wear this super cute pea coat to school. Terr bought it for a dance Jordan and Abb were in a couple years ago, and it turned out to be a youth size. She told me to keep it for Ave (thank you!). It fits her now, and it's so fashionable!
New bunk beds for the Carterman! He's back in his room now and has an extra bed for when friends and Landon come to visit. He's loving it :)
Ave has moved to the top bunk in her room. She is enjoying seeing Mary Poppins on the TV a little bit clearer. She's been watching that the last 2 weeks for bed time! That's my girl!
Someone passed out after repeatedly telling me how "not tired" he was. Nicole got these dinosaur pajamas for Carter years ago. Teague is loving them!
Someone has a big boy bed now! He has been very good about sleeping there. I think the awesome dinosaur bedding helps!
My Avers fell asleep on me the other night. She looks like a little angel when she sleeps. I seem to have a lot of sleeping pictures in this blog entry!
Sharing some ice cream with Daddy is one of Teague's favorite things to do!
We built a snow triceratops yesterday! We didn't have a ton of snow, but what was there was nice and sticky!
As you can see we shoveled most of the snow from the yard into a giant pile. Also...my children are gangsters.
I like his happy smile and icicle horns!
A little chicken noodle soup and hot chocolate warms one up after playing in the snow!

Dancing kids video! Enjoy!

A typical night at Papa's!

Freezing weather!!

First of all I would like to say good luck to my sister Erica tonight! She was getting induced at 7pm, and I can't wait to see my new nephew! Here is Teague chilling in some dinosaur pajamas reading about 15 dinosaur books. He might love dinosaurs even more than Carter did at this age. It's close!
It has been freezing here lately! Freezing! On Tuesday and Wednesday when I brought Carter and Avery to school it was -18. We made sure we bundled up. Sweaters under winter coats, hats, gloves, and boots.
We missed Myla's 1st birthday last Sunday. We went out to visit on Thursday. The kids ate pizza, played, and ran around for a good 2 hours. Here is a girl picture. Myla is sure a little cutie!
Boy picture!
All six little monkeys together. They always have fun. We need to get together more often.
Teague likes to wear this plastic lid on his head and tell people he is a space alien. Probably not the safest toy ever, but I promise I watch him closely.
The lid came from these. Grandma and Papa bought 100 gel pens at Costco last weekend. They are awesome! We are all fans so far.
And now, for a couple of action photos. Is there anything funner than jumping over couch cushions?
Teague getting some air!
Carter looks like he's protecting a football!
She might be a hurdler.
Good form in mid-air :)
She looks like she's floating. They are kind of fun!

A fun visit from Callie!

We had a ridiculous amount of candy this year! We donated about half of it to a Dentist's office here in town. The rest was split between Kyle and the kids.
My team came over for a pizza party on Monday. I enjoyed all of them this year. Nice, funny kids - no fighting. That's what I like. Our record was not great (6-11), so they brought over this cake. It says "At Least We Tried". They thought I might be offended, but I laughed and laughed. They did try! We were always competitive too.
We went out to the Montana Club the other night with Mom and Dad. Teague fell asleep and stayed with Kyle. These two were nuts! Don't mind Carter's broccoli teeth :)
Ave made this lovely drawing that says "Papa is a Poop" at the bottom. She's a prize. Right now I can hear her singing an original song in the bath, "Get that sparkle on, show the world where you belong!"
The cold is coming this week. Someone said -10. Brrrr! We've been hanging out outdoors as much as we can. Friday was a good day for bike riding.
Callie came over for a visit. We always love to see her. Ave had some big smiles for her!
Carter made an awesome skid mark when he stopped. They were showing how huge it was!
Teague was having a good time too!
The next day was beautiful! We played down at C Street Park for a good hour and a half. The swings are always a favorite of my Teagie-Pie.
Carter made me, Kyle, and Callie play football with him. It was fun! We all worked on our drop kicks too.
Ave made a friend there. They had a lot of fun playing together. Notice the no coat, no shoes, no socks. Like I said, it was gorgeous!
Afterwards, she passed out. Playing is rough on a 5 year old.
Callie was helping Teague put on his pajamas. She tied his Batman shirt under his head. He looked like a Eastern European woman I think! It's a good look. Thanks for coming again Callie! Hopefully we will visit you in Missoula soon :)

Halloween!

He has fallen asleep on the floor about 3 times in the last week. All this practice and excitement about Halloween wears a guy out!
Ave brings home the funniest things from school. Her free time is spent doing things like this!
Teague and I went to the mall because there was a sale on Puma clothes (and Carter is growing like crazy). We stopped by the play area too of course.
The day after our San Francisco Giants won the World Series (Yay!) was team day at Emerson. They wore their shirts proudly!
Erica sent us three boxes of various things last week: clothes for Carter, some Wii stuff, a bunch of school activities for Ave, and this awesome shirt for the Lady Wolves of Watford City. Ave looks styling in it when she wears it for bed. Thanks Auntie!
Elsa is ready for school. I found her old Tangled wig and managed to braid it. It was a little poofy on the top, but it was literally "Tangled". It was the best I could do!
Nice action pose Rocket Raccoon. He was a character from the Marvel movie "Guardians of the Galaxy".
They looked pretty cute!
There is my little Wolverine with his ninja turtle buddy Evan. He looked pretty awesome at his parade. Those foam claws were a huge hit!
Jordan, Terri, and Grandma came to watch of course. They're the best :)
Teague and Brooklyn. They are buddies!
My Avery was one of about 15 Elsas just at Emerson. Her best friend Korin was Elsa too. She is the second girl in the picture.
My Googles walked with her friend Parker.
Rocket giving me a wave! It was gorgeous out!
He looked awesome.
We played on the playground for awhile afterwards. I think it got up to 60 degrees. Definitely the nicest Halloween since I was in 6th grade!
Jordan and Avers with their long blond hair!
I love the fake fur on Carter's costume!
All 3 in the sunshine!
One more :)
We went up to the Mining Museum afterwards for Treat Street. We ran into Geah, Nancy, Brooklyn, and Reece. We all walked through together, and it was lots of fun!
They had so much candy after this one stop that Teague could barely hold up his bag!
Rocket wanted a picture with Charlie Oredigger at the end!
We then went to a Halloween party down on C Street. Carter's friend Nathan's Dad has a tractor, and he does hay rides. We were heading over the overpass here.
Teague was enjoying a peanut butter and jelly while we were on the hay ride. It was a lot of fun!
We took a rest for pizza before trick or treating. We bought my Dad this awesome sweater for Christmas, but when the Giants won the World Series...we had to present it early! He said he got hundreds of comments on it at school!
Time for trick or treating!
They were very good about saying "Trick or Treat" and "Thank You" to everyone. Teague had taken a nap and was hilarious. Some of his comments to people were "Nice Decorations!", "What a Nice Lady!", "I will like Skittles when I'm 7", and "I belong to that family right there". Kyle, Terri, Mom, and I could not stop laughing at him.
Time for some treats!
They were very business-like!
This house was very decorated! Spooky music, fog, and tons of decorations. They loved it!
Kyle was having fun photobombing them!
There he is again! I was trying to get a picture of Carter's tail swishing back and forth! We had a great night - notice the lack of coats and hats. It was a perfect night :)
Uncle Kyle came in for a day because he was bored in Baker. These little monkeys were quite happy to see him!
Today we went to Brooklyn's 4th Birthday Party. She had a very nice Frozen themed party.
Ave and her buddy Reece in their crowns.
Pinata time!
Just what they need - more candy!
Today is also Jordan's 16th birthday. That is hard to believe! We had a nice turkey dinner for her complete with mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry, olives, corn, rolls, and stuffing. Yum! We followed that with some chocolate cake.
Happy Birthday to our buddy!

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
