2 weeker

Sorry this is a week late. These last weeks of school have been crazy! Anyway, Kyle played in a cops vs. firemen charity bball game last week. The cops lost, but that's okay. It was a lot of fun to watch. There he is in action.
The cops had just a few more people on their team! Most of them were not basketball players though, so they just played to be charitable. Kyle enjoyed having Coach Green again as his coach!
Lori and Leena made signs for Kyle and Richie. We watched Lori lose a pretty big hand at a poker party one night. When Kyle said "Ouch, that sucks", Lori replied with "Whatever, it's chunk change." We have been laughing about it ever since!
The firemen sent over a little girl with donuts to the cops' bench during the game. It was quite amusing! It also allowed Kyle to reenact his picture!
Carter had a baseball game (which Grandpa nicely took him to). These two little monkeys had a good time with me though. Ave also loves a good donut (or two!)
Kyle is not able to compete in anything charitable without hurting himself. Luckily he just tore a calf muscle this time. It made some very pretty bruising down his leg and foot the next day. Ave loved it as you can see.
Me and my Boo actually took a selfie together (God I hate that word) while we went for a late walk last week. It was just a super pretty day on the trail.
This was about ten minutes later. When it does get dark, it happens quickly!
Nothing liking spreading lovely yellow weeds around Butte.
She was dressed up as Lucy from Despicable Me 2 the other night. She's a weird one...
Carter had a fun birthday party to attend  last weekend. His friend Dallas had a ninja theme. These blow up swords were a big hit. Here he is chivalrously attacking a girl from his class.
There was quite the melee as you can see!
We went over to Clark's Park a half an hour early to let these guys play a bit too.
Ave is weird...so I take a lot of pictures. I have to document this phase of her life.
Uncle Kyle was in last weekend. He hopefully only has a couple more weeks to work in Baker, then he'll be much closer in Three Forks. He and Avery found a fun game to play together on his new Kindle.
Ave's game got hailed out the other night. You can't even see the hail here, but it happened! Spring in Montana is always interesting.
Double play dates are always lots of fun. Luckily all kids like to draw with chalk outside!
Teague looked smashing in this outfit from Terr, Abb, and Jord the other day. Kyle and I are big fans of the V-neck on him!
This little man had some gorgeous curls today. That means it's almost time for a summer haircut.
Ave was just a bit tired yesterday. This is how she fell asleep on me! Hope everyone is enjoying the last day in May!

Dance and visitors!

Dance time has arrived! Ave has been going to tumbling on Monday and jazz on Tuesday since September. She was ready for her dress rehearsal on Monday. Her tumbling routine was to a sped up version of "Let it Go". She looked lovely.
Ave was able to sit with us for the first half and go back at intermission. She wore a dress as a cover up, and we got a picture with Jordan before the show started. Jocko was awesome as usual. This is her costume for Bad Romance - a very cool tap number.
After the show - Avery was able to be in the finale this year. I am pretty sure she was the smallest girl up there. She looked super cute! Ave was really happy to have Jordan be one of her tumbling teachers this year too. They are buddies :)
Second day - Ave had jazz on Thursday. She did great! We are proud of both these lovely girls.
My fellow volleyball coaches, Geah and Katrina, have girls that dance also. We got a quick picture of them after the show on Thursday. Ave, Reece, McKenzie, and Brooklyn were all super cute up there.
Nate's fiancé Alex graduated from Tech this weekend, so there was lots of family from Sunburst in Butte this weekend. They brought Teague's clothes for their wedding this summer for him to try on. He looked smashing! The little Jordan shoes were my favorite. He will also have a cool bow tie and aqua suspenders for the big day.
Baseball has been freezing so far this year! Carter's game on Friday had so many cold, wet fans. We have the best families ever! From l-r: Avery, Jordan, Kaity, Chelbie, Me with a sleeping Teague, Mom, Aunt Terri, Callie with a double thumbs up, Nate, Alex, Dick, Diana, and Alex's brother Kyle. Thank you all so much for watching Ave dance and Carter play!
We had a nice dinner with everyone at The Hanging 5 on Saturday night. We went to The Hampton afterwards. Callie had rooms there for her parents and Nate and Alex. The kids were quite happy to swim (or do whatever Teague does!).
Carter is getting quite good at somersaults in the water!
Boo had a quick warm up in the hot tub.
So did Kyle and my little weirdo.
This picture makes me laugh. Ave is just about to get Nate with a wave!
Nate and Alex are great with kids. They listened to Teague talk and talk and talk for about three days straight! Congrats to Alex on her graduation too! She flew through Tech and had the highest GPA for her degree class.
Teague might be in need of haircut! He thinks this looks totally awesome though...and it does!
I realized in my rushing on Thursday I had no good pictures of Boo in her jazz costume. We had to remedy that. It was the most colorful costume I've ever seen! Her pose is pretty great too.
Oh yeah! She's got some moves!
Had to show off her tumbling moves also. She's getting good at the splits. She's quite limber! She must get that from Auntie Kelsie.
Her basket is most impressive! I asked her to not lick her toes for the picture. Yep...she does that.
Headstand time!
And the bridge
She did a great job!
This is a very Ave-centric blog. She also had her first tee ball game yesterday. It was freezing, but she had a good time.
She was the last batter so she got to run all the way around. She hit it pretty hard on her first swing both times!
Run Googles, Run! (Feel free to say that in your Jenny from Forrest Gump voice)
She was sticking her tongue out at us, too bad I missed it.
This turd likes to nap through baseball games and then stay up until 1:30 or so. Good thing I'm up!
I was folding clothes, and he decided he needed to show me his workout routine. It's impressive!
Lastly, Callie and a couple of her buddies. She got to stay three nights with us, and we all enjoyed it. Teague especially missed her right away when she left for Missoula on Sunday. "Auntie Callie" is the best! Thanks again to everyone!

Late post/Phone pictures

Carter had his first baseball game of the year last week. He had many fans there to watch. Ave had a good time keeping Auntie Terri entertained.
Teague collects sticks everywhere we go. I think he is going to build a dam near our house soon. He's a little weirdo, but I love him!
He is still in that phase where he needs a nap once a week. This chair is one of his favorite spots to pass out.
Just a typical Saturday morning at our house. Everyone in pajamas, Kyle and Teague crushing the other two.
Ave has some moves. She can't hear music and not dance!
It was a yard work kind of day. All the kids helped Papa and Kyle rake and clean up the lawn. I was busy clearing out the garden. It's almost planting time!
Teague was especially helpful. He had to completely lay in the piles before he picked some up. He had grass in his shoes, shirt, and pants!
They really are fairly helpful though. They are keepers.
Carter found the easiest job of course. This was after Papa promised DQ to anyone who helped!
Drive-in night! We went and saw the new Avengers movie at the Drive-In. I love that we still have one. It was a great movie and a lot of fun! We saw Jordo out there too!
My girl was the only one who fell asleep. She got filled in on all the details by her brothers the next day though.
Happy belated Mother's Day to all of you wonderful moms out there. I had a nice relaxing day of playing around in the garden again. These 3 made me some wonderful presents too. Love these little goofs!
Teague happily took a little nap on Abbey. Abbey has always liked laying with my sleeping kids. They look quite cozy!
And now for some phone pictures: these are all pretty random. I love this one from our Billings Easter trip. I can't wait to see this handsome fella again!
Abbey and Avery on Easter. They are the 5 letter A-name ending in Y buddies.
I love how Avery signs her papers! Seeing her middle name always brings a smile to my face. I always think about Grandma in May because of her birthday and the rock garden starting to bloom. She was the best.
Action photos on the tire swing are always good!
Carter catching! He did a really good job and enjoyed it a lot. I think baseball is officially his favorite sport.
Carter pitching. He was also 2-2. He is making some solid contact. I am proud of my boy!
Ave, Carter, Laney, and I took a fun walk on the trail last Saturday. Teague and Kyle ran to Ace Hardware. I love how my Old IPod is stuck in her back pocket.
They like this bridge.
There were goslings galore! They were super cute getting into the water.
These two geese had 18 little ones with them.
The big tree is looking quite full! You can barely see my kiddos underneath.
There is a secret pond that we always check out. Look what we found!
I can't even count how many goslings there were, at least 25. We were being sneaky since geese can be mean. I know nothing about geese. Can these possibly all belong to one family?

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
