Lots of pictures - Fun at the museum

The good thing about bath pictures is that they are always happy in the bath! This is Teague's new smile however...you'll see it a few times in this large post.
Carter did a great job helping with Grandma's stew. He mostly stirred it and said it smelled like garlic (which it did not). It always makes them eat more if they think they helped cook though...and he definitely enjoyed the stew!
My two little helpers got the swiffers out while I was sweeping the floor. They were right behind me "helping" all the time!
These capes are so funny. They were them a lot! "Super Landon" is quite the batter. You really better watch out when he's up!
Teague loves his too.
Notice how everyone is kind of bundled up...and then there is my Ave. She wants it to be summer so badly!
This guy is so cute. I love all his odd sleep positions he gets into in his dino bed.
Abb and Jord had their company show on Thursday. It was amazing! There were a lot of dances I hadn't seen (like their small groups and trios and this Spider one), and I loved them all. It was lots of fun to have Callie come over too. She did help Abb with backflips constantly when we were in college so she's always happy to see those. We had some Pork Chop Johns and had a great time visiting.
Erica and Sean brought all the kids the cutest stuffed animals from the Shark Reef down in Vegas. Carter and Landon got awesome sharks. Teague and Ave got a crab and turtle that have little tiny babies with them. They are pretty cool. Teague's crab apparently needed a bandaid on one eye. They were being animal doctors.
Ave took this picture. Teague loves to "sneak" up behind me and scare me!
Teague took this picture. Notice the bowl of play food from their kitchen that is out for the turtle and crab to eat from!
Time to do a little excavating.
They work pretty well together. Ave was digging while Carter brushed off the debris. They were very excited to get a leg bone out!
Carter and Landon were invited to a birthday party at Clark's Park on Saturday for their friend Cooper. They had a blast playing wiffle ball with a bunch of other kids.
Erica and I were a little nervous since they don't even know which way to run (next year for sure we'll do tee-ball), but they were great. They hit the ball and followed everyone else's lead.
Chef Teagie! That's what he calls himself when he wears this. He likes to toast chicken nuggets - mmm.
On Sunday we decided it was time to go to the Museum of the Rockies. We haven't been there in quite awhile, and they have a new exhibit all about space. Dinosaurs and Space are two things all my kids think are pretty cool. Always have to have a picture by Big Mike!
Teague and his peanut butter sandwich by one of Big Mike's massive claws.
Carter is the same size as Big Mike's "femur".
Ave was close too! We had to waste some time while Teague finished his sandwich. He fell asleep on the way there and woke up hungry. We knew that we would get there right around lunchtime so we came prepared!
There is that sandwich again! Ave and Carter's smiles are so cute too!
A tire from a lunar rover - that's awesome! Carter recognized the rover from his Cat n the Hat book that is all about Space.
They had a model of the inside of a space shuttle. This was the eating area with the freeze-dried foods all labeled nicely. The pictures are blurry because I couldn't use a flash. It was really neat though.
Carter and Teague were on the other side analyzing some soil samples.
Here is one of the sleeping pods. The other one was right above it. It was cool how Astronaut Walker had a bunch of pictures up of his family.
We got to touch a meteorite from both the Moon and Mars! Carter even went back down to control the Mars lunar rover again. There were a lot of cool things to do. Avery liked dancing in front of the infrared sensor, and Teague enjoyed checking how much he weighed on the scales for the moon, Mars, and Earth.
This T-Rex tried to eat Carter's head!
Teague still probably loved the playroom the best.
Their little hand puppets were eating puzzle pieces.
The Yellowstone exhibit never gets old. There is just something wonderful about catching magnetic fish!
Chef Teagie had a giant kitchen to work with - he was in heaven!
Looking good Construction Worker Carter!
We also went to the dinosaur park, then Old Chicago (where we oddly ran into Uncle Kyle), and Target for a toy. It was a fun little mini vacation, and it wore these little monkey out! I love how they are all leaning the same direction.

3 videos

This is one of Ave's awesome songs that she is constantly making up. From what I can tell, this is the title "I love your feet, I love your dancing". She's just weird as can be, but she makes me laugh!

I was going to send this to my sisters on Mother's Day obviously. I love how Teagie says "Mudder's Day" though. And then my nice Carter tackled me! Hope every Mom we know had a great last Sunday! Lastly, here is a terrible video of Avery's dance at her dress rehearsal. I mean terrible. I used the video camera on it, but I couldn't figure out how to upload it to the computer. So this is a video of a video. You get the idea hopefully. She was on the end, she was smiling, and she was dancing! She could see us though so she got a bit distracted! She was even cuter at the recital. I'll buy a video from Dynamic Dance, and it will be much better. Enjoy what we've got here though.

My Dancing Girl!

Ave had been waiting for this week to come for awhile now! We went to the Mother Lode Theatre on Monday for her dress rehearsal. She got changed and came out to find her buddy Abbey there. She was so excited to watch all of Abb and Jord's dances too. They both look so cute here.
I'm pretty sure Ave was the youngest in her class. Everyone else was 5, but we switched to Mondays so she could be with Reece. They are good buddies!
Later we went up to open gym where she showed off more dance moves. She slept very well that night! We had to be there on time since Poppa was in Helena for Youth Legislature.
I bought her this beautiful summer dress when I was shopping for Reece's birthday present. I couldn't help myself, it was yellow and gorgeous. She got many compliments on it from her daycare friends and teachers. There is a whole lot of Ave in the post. We had a busy week together.
This little guy looks so cute in shorts...now if I could only get him to smile. He justs makes this "monster face" at me as he says. I hope he enjoyed the shorts. We've had four rainy days in a row. I don't mind because everything is looking very green.
He's been trying on underwear off and on. Then he usually pees in them. He wants to be potty trained, but he's not even close to ready. He sure looks cute in Superman underwear though!
Carter wanted to take a picture of his buddy Winks. This is my Mom's stuffed animal - her Dad was called Winks too. Carter has had him for awhile now, he takes great care of him. The boy loves animals.
It's dance night! These two were waiting backstage very patiently together. That recital runs like a well-oiled machine. There are Moms and older dancers who are always backstage with them, entertaining them, getting them lined up. I was worried about my 4 year old being backstage for an hour without me, but she had a blast.
Abbey and Jordan are amazing. I wish I could post a video of one of their dances. They are so good! Avery cheered for them all through the second half when she was on my lap. We had me, Kyle, Grandma, Terri, Erica, and Nicole there to support them. Kyle was superproud of his little girl. She was so cute and tiny on stage!
She had quite a few presents from her admirers. Terri, Grandma, Auntie Erica, and us all gave her some flowers and little presents too. Callie sent some gorgeous yellow lillies and roses from Butte Floral too! She was thrilled (and she's lucky she has such a wonderful family)! They are still looking good too!
Kyle and I had a movie day on Saturday. We took the kids to a playground and wore them out. My Mom offered to watch them while Teague napped so we could go see Star Trek. It was so good! Then we went to the Drive-In later for Iron Man 3, which was also great! Ave and Teague fell asleep. Carterman (in his Iron Patriot mask) loved it! He sat with Grandma and talked about making his own armor on the way back to Butte.
Lastly, these two goofballs love to play Lego Batman. I wish they would take a break sometimes, but they are so funny when they play. It is constant talking and strategizing! Lando is with Mom and Dad (and us) while Erica and Sean go to Vegas for a few days. Sean came back this weekend to walk at Tech's graduation. I'm sure they'll have a great time!

Happy Mother's Day!

My poor little Teague has had an icky wet cough for days, but the Doctor thinks it's just a virus. He still wants to play and get out of the house. We went up to Koprivica Park the other day. It's not in the best neighborhood, but it has a lot of cute stuff and we were the only ones there. These little motorcycles really bounce. They both enjoyed them!
This old fashioned fire truck thing was fun too. Teague calls it a tractor and kept yelling "all aboard"! Ave wore a dress too. It was gorgeous last week! We made the most of it while we could.
Auntie Terri bought the kids a bunch of little water squirters. They had so much fun with them! So did Kyle, he loves a good water fight. Teague loved squirting his Dad. Carter had an innate ability to always get him right in the face too!
This boy also loves to make mud with the water squirters. He uses an old flower pot that still has some dirt in it from last year. You'll see more later!
My Carterman was so happy to be wearing shorts and a hat to school. He always wears a sweatshirt in the morning, but all last week was shorts weather!
Another day of fun with the water squirters!
If we do bathtime at Papa and Grandma's house, they always cuddle with Grandma when they get out. She wraps them up in a blanket while I get pajamas, Q-tips, lotion, and combs ready.
I know a haircut needs to happen. It's insane...especially when he rubs his head all over the couch.
We had to get the sprinkler out. The grass was getting a bit dry. Carter was ready to jump over it!
Some strange fella dropped a piece of cereal in his belly button. It made me laugh!
She is very silly. She just stood under the sprinkler like this for quite awhile!
And here is more mud...as promised! This concoction was called "spaghetti sauce in a dog bowl" according to Teague.
Time to sit down and get some more dishes involved.
Avery took this lovely picture. She was proud (and why wouldn't she be?) and told me to make sure it was on the blog.
More mud!
On Saturday, we brought Carter and Landon up to Koprivica Park with us so they could check it out. This teeter-totter is a lot of fun!
Landon is amazingly strong. He can do these monkey bars like a champ.
This is out of order. Oh well. This was later that day. Teague saw all the other kids doing some painting, so he got involved too. He enjoyed mixing the paints together for sure.
Also out of order...Happy Mother's Day to all my wonderful family and friends! These 3 always make my day!
Oops. Here are the last two from the park. This is one sturdy teeter-totter! We all had a fun time teetering and tottering on it!
We saw a bunch of ladybugs up there. They were all quite inrigued by them. Carter loves to let them crawl on him - he is going to be an animal scientist you know. As you can see, Teague was amazed! He usually tried to steal the bugs, and they would fly away. He did have one crawl on him for a second and was so happy about it!

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
