Buzz is ready!

Is there anything cuter than a boy and his dog? We took a little walk in the nice fall weather to C Street Park, and Carterman walked Laney back.

Jordan and Avers went down the slide a couple times. Avery seemed to like it. It was nice that the wind wasn't too crazy. We needed to get out of the house.
My mom got her a cool 3-in-1 coat from the Children's Place. We've been using the fleece part so far, and it was perfect for this fall afternoon. She had a great time crawling all over the park and watching the boys run.
I just like this picture. I'm not sure why. It just shows that boys like to run I guess. They both wanted me to "get" them. Carter looked funny clomping around in those boots. He loves them.
This picture is so cute. Uncle Phil dropped off some party mix from Grandma Bonnie when he and Mary Jo were in town on Saturday. Carter wanted to eat all the pretzels. They just looked funny in his little room having some snacks together.
The boys were throwing bubbles at Poppa while he was sitting by the bathtub. Then I sat down, and they threw some at me. I didn't care; I was just glad Carter was happy in the bath. He hasn't been a fan lately. I like this rather candid shot!
Lando woke up from a nap and had some of the coolest hair I've ever seen. I still can't believe how fast his hair grows! I think every hair that could stick up was sticking up!
They've been kind of playing together lately which is nice. Carter was making me a sandwich in his kitchen when Ave decided to help. She thinks she is so big. She keeps standing up on her own and just standing there. She has pretty good balance.
My little man found his Halloween costume. We decided to make sure it fit. As you can see, he refused to take it off! I had to wait until he fell asleep to get him in pajamas. I would have let him sleep in it, but he had a sweatshirt, sweats, socks, and shoes underneath.
Avery is looking quite devilish here with some cheerios. Carter usually munches on some dry cereal in the morning, and she found it. That girl eats everything! She does have five teeth now, so she's giving them a workout.
He decided to wear his giant Buzz Lightyear gloves with his costume. They look hilarious! He told me with those wings on he could fly like Superman too. I'm glad he likes it. He and Landon (Woody) are going to look so funny together!
See what I mean about them playing together? He even let her play with all his Cars! He's getting to be a much better sharer.
I finally got him to look at me. He's going to make a very handsome Buzz Lightyear!
He was checking out his little Buzz to make sure they were wearing the same thing. I have the purple hood for him, but I think that's not going to happen.
Last Buzz picture, I promise. I couldn't help it - he was just so funny that night. Anyway, when we were at Poppa and Grandma's house, he had to wear these goggles with his costume. Actually, he's worn those goggles every night for the last two weeks. He's kind of odd, but in a good way!
He was all dressed up for senior night at Butte High. Of course, he's wearing his boots though. It looks like he's saying, "Welcome to my room". He does like to open and close the door now. It's a real smile for once!
This is not the best picture, but I had to show her pants. The little turkey found an Oreo on the floor and ate it as fast as she possibly could. I'm so much more lax than I was with Carter! If she finds it, she gets it.
I thought she looked pretty in this purple onesie that Poppa got for her. It says "Being a princess isn't easy" - and she has the phone. She looks so girly!
Here was her senior night outfit. I found her some nice purple plaid pants which were so cute. She wore herself out playing with Grandma as you can see. She's just so busy right now - she can't sit still!

Sunburst and more!

We made a quick trip to Sunburst last weekend because it's the first weekend we've had free forever! It was very nice to see everyone. Dick and Diana made an absolutely delicious turkey dinner for the whole fam on Saturday night.

Colty is such a good little kid. He and Avery were playing a little game here. He'd put the bib around her neck and she'd rip it off and throw it! I love how she's staring at him.
Here's Uncle Kyle with his newest nephew, Kaden Toby Barsness. He's about two weeks old and was quite a good little baby. He looks a lot like his brother and sister too.
Avery was having a very good time drumming her hands on this little coffee table at Grandma Bonnie's house. As you can see, she wore pajamas all day Saturday. It's just so much easier than her tearing off her socks and shoes!
Then she discovered we could play peek a boo under the table - she looks so silly!
Carterman had an excellent lunch at Grandma Bonnie's, and after seeing the cows, he was very ready for a nap. He fell asleep watching Scooby Do (which is his new favorite movie right now).
Here's kind of a lopsided picture of his fantastic lunch. We're all pretty spoiled out at the farm. We had fresh caramel rolls, grilled cheese sandwiches, and some really good Shrimp Alfredo. We gave Carter some of the extra peas. He loves them!
A very sweet sleeping Kaden. You always forget how tiny brand new babies are! Chris and Aly are lucky to have such good siblings for him. Bre and Colty are great with their little brother.
Laney had a big weekend too. She and Diva always have a couple good wrestling matches while we are there. Lane was digging under her blanket trying to get Diva in this one. She's nuts.
Dick and Diana have a really nice little window seat in one of their new rooms. Carter had a great time jumping off and yelling "To Infinity and Beyond" in his new Buzz Lightyear pajamas!
As you can see, Avers made it up the dog stairs. Even with that pacifier in her mouth, you can tell she's pretty proud of herself!
She thinks she's so big now. She wants to do whatever her brother is doing, like looking out the window at the dogs.
Carter always finds these trucks when we are there. They are pretty cool little self-propelling vehicles. We had a great time. We'll have to get up to Sunburst again soon. Thanks everyone!
Here's my little ranch face and his Daddy at McDonald's in Helena. We stopped there to let Carter run around a little and make sure they had dinner. The funny thing was Carter didn't really want to play - he wanted to go see the farm! Kyle said that is probably the only time we'll ever hear, "I don't want to go to Donald's - I want to go in the car!".
Little Chubby Cheeks was very good on the trip. She took a very nice nap after she was full of her turkey rice dinner.
Someday last week, Erica got the boys some little pumpkins to paint. They had a very good time. I don't think Carter's going to be an artist, but he enjoyed himself!
There's Lando's pumpkin. I think Erica helped him put a handprint on it. Look at his hair! You would never know I practically shaved his head a while ago.
Carter was very serious about his paint choices. His pumpkin looked like it had a smile!
I didn't get a great picture of them together, but you can tell they're hard at work. Erica is good at finding little activities for them to do. Must be that elementary teacher thing!
There's not even one picture that they are looking at the camera, but what can you do? This was just a nice action photo. Plus you can see his huge arms.
Carl and Jenny were in last week too - well until Monday. Carl came in for a conference at Tech, but we mostly just hung out. Grandma was very happy to have them come visit for a second time this year. We always have lots of fun; we even managed to sneak a game night in! Hope you guys had a good trip back!
Last but not least, my rosy cheeked baby. Ave was having a nice little snooze on Grandma. It's so nice when she sits still for a second now. She's very mobile!

New things to try!

I seem to have a lot more pictures of Avers this week. I think it's because Carter has been in a bad mood. We took them to the doctor on Friday, and Carter has an ear infection (his first ever) and Ave has a sinus infection. She hasn't complained though, so we were surprised. Carterman hasn't been sleeping very well at all and now we know he probably wakes up every time he rolls on that side with the bad ear. Anyway, here's Avery reading a cool new book Grandma found for her.

She is such a little maniac. She's like a mountain goat. She can climb on top of Carter's picnic table, so we really have to watch her closely when she's in Carter's room now.
She's been trying new things (hence the title of the blog). Here she is enjoying some cornbread last night. She loved it! We had cornbread and a ton of jambalaya that Dad made for Carl & Jenny. They were here for four days, and it was very fun. Grandma loved having them here. I'll get a picture of them up next time I post (I ran out of time!).
He's such a little fool. He makes me laugh though. Here he is careening down the hall on one of his dumptrucks.
This is for Callie. I wanted to show you that Laney still has her Dingo wreath. I have no idea how many years she's had this, but it pops up from time to time!
Poppa was really making Landon laugh the other night! He is a very ticklish guy.
This is such a cute little outfit (from our Alaska buddies). Yellow looks quite lovely on her. She was playing with some of Carter's bristle blocks. He shares on occasion!
These are the funniest things ever! We ordered Carter some Buzz Lightyear talking gloves. We did not expect them to be enormous! They are very light though, and he loves them. He likes to punch the walls so they will talk.
Here's Miss Avers Halloween costume. It's so cute! I'll be gone on Halloween for volleyball (which sucks) so I had to try it on her when it came. She doesn't like stuff on her head (so she couldn't be an animal), and she doesn't like dresses now (since she's crawling)...so we decided on Jasmine! It's 12-18 months so she can wear it over some warm clothes.
Carter has decided he loves puffs and baby cheetos again. He sits with Avery every time she eats now so he can get in on her delicious snacks!
This is a cute picture of some sleeping girls. Avery and Abbey love to take little naps together.
Here's a sleeping boy after daycare. He's been exhausted and cranky because of this ear infection. He never told us anything hurt, so we had no idea what was going on with him.
Here's more fun stuff to try - pumpkin pancakes. Mmm, so so good. She chowed them down in her little Halloween pajamas. She was 16 lb 12 oz when we went to the doctor. Carterman was up to 25 lbs!
After he woke up and we went home, this little guy was crazy. I believe he was up until 2:30 that morning. He's been having fun with the vacuum attachments lately. His shirt was funny. It said Cap'n Spooky - Surrender your candy! Mom found it at Target.
She looks like such a little tomboy in these jeans. They are Carter's old Lucky Jeans. I figure if someone is going to spend that much money on a pair of jeans, they can both wear them! I'm sure they came from my friend Carrie.
I found this shirt at Old Navy. It's perfect for Butte High games. It's even got Daddy's favorite number on there, and some butterflies to keep it girly!
Does he not look completely insane here? I believe he was attacking Poppa and loving every minute of it!
Ave is learning how to clap. Grandma loves to play Patty-Cake with her, and she's starting to get it! She's easy to amuse. She was playing with Carter's crinkly Toy Story fruit snacks wrapper. What could be more fun? I also stuck her in Carter's old shoes. I think they looked pretty cute.

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
