A Brisk Week

These are going to be some short captions again. Our Sunday nights always tend to be hectic! I put one of these photos on Facebook. He ran around at volleyball practice and then again at a girls' powderpuff football game. It wore the poor fella out!
The next night he fell asleep like this. The poor kid doesn't know when to stop!
Ave really wanted to decorate for Halloween, so we did. This is her favorite decoration - our spooky tree. They are very excited already!
We have had a very chilly week. First we had a lot of rain - notice Ave's rain boots.
And the next morning...snow. Boo! I don't mind snow, but not in September! My garden looked pathetically sad, but Carter looks super happy!
It was super wet snow too. Carter played outside for a bit, but his gloves were soaked through pretty quickly.
Teague just liked to check out his boot marks in the snow.
Mmmm...one good thing about cold weather is hot cocoa. Carter gives it a thumbs up! Teague obviously makes a giant mess with it!
Ave stomped around a bit after preschool too. She refused to wear a winter coat, and I can't win an argument with her...so there you go.
It warmed up a little on Friday luckily. These two got to come up to the pep assembly and be in the Homecoming Parade! They loved every minute of it, and the girls on the team love them!
We turned off all the lights in our house, turned on our tree, our skeleton lights, and our mummy lights, and they ran around the house like crazy people for a bit! Ave's eyes are nuts!
Sunday morning coloring - they all did some very nice dinosaur pictures.
Then we went to Connor and Austin's birthday party at Silver Bow. They had some cool cakes: Despicable Me 2 and Angry Birds. They were both so polite and loved all their presents.
Abb and Jord always take nice pictures!
The birthday party wore them out! Ave fell asleep listening to the Ipod again, and Laney kept Teague warm by cuddling up to her. Hope everyone enjoyed their week (and that it wasn't as chilly as ours)!

Just a fun, busy week!

A typical practice at Butte High with my kids and Geah's kids - we don't get a lot done!
This was at Carter's Open House at Emerson - they had a nice beach background to take some pictures by. His teacher seems super nice, and Carter loved showing us around.
Then we had to play on the playground for awhile of course.
This little man loves to climb this little ladder.
They really like the sunroof in my car. We don't use it often, but they climbed out of it last week.
We had some chocolate cupcakes leftover from Kyle's birthday. Teague loves to make a nice big frosting mess!
Poor Teague had a little nap during our game on Saturday. He slept in the bleachers for a good two hours, guess he's used to noise!
He did wake up when we got to Mackenzie River though. He wanted Avery to look at him while he talked to her!
Then he gave her a kiss! This picture is so cute!
Carter wore his police uniform to the game. He also wants to wear it again for Halloween! He's a funny kid.
They all love these Octonauts toys. It's one of the few things they can all play together! I just noticed Kyle's face in the background too - ha ha!
We had our first frost here last week. I got all the green tomatoes out of the garden and made fried green tomatoes. They were delicious, especially dipped in horseradish cream sauce! Yum!
Lastly, Dad talked Kyle into helping coach Powderpuff football with him. These three went to the game at East (which they won 50-6) while I played racquetball. We busted out the hats and coats just in case, but it was a nice night!

Happy Birthday Kyle!

I had a homework assignment for Carter's teacher. I had to make an acrostic poem for my boy that they will hang in the classroom. I think it turned out pretty good. He woke up in the morning and said, "Mom, it's all the things I like"! Mission accomplished!
This is such a cute picture. Teague laughs and laughs when Kyle kisses his neck!
They were singing and dancing to "Bye Bye Bye"! I'm so proud!
One more picnic! It was such a gorgeous day, we had to get out of the house!
I hope it stays pretty nice for September. I love a good picnic with the kiddos.
She has the cutest smile! Sorry these captions are so short. I must get Carter to bed!
This is Teague's favorite thing about going to volleyball practice - sitting in the ball bin!
I love this picture! He really was almost asleep!
It was so nice we even had one more sprinkler day! Carter seems to not be able to look at me for more than two seconds.
My girl doing some homework. She does about three pages a day - she's so smart!
Dana was in this weekend - the girls had a lot of fun together!
Kolt loved Carter! He just chased him around and around and around!
Miss Boo is obsessed with her playlist on my IPod. It was so hard to get these out of her ears after she fell asleep. She kept waking up everytime I turned the music off!
We started dance again today. She knows 3 people in her class and was very happy to be there.
She got to demonstrate this for her dance class. She's very flexible!
Happy 33rd Birthday Kyle! They love singing Happy Birthday to their Daddy!

New camera!

I have barely any pictures from this week. I got a new camera right in the middle, but then I was gone Friday and Saturday to Billings for volleyball. Oh well, gotta do the blog on Sunday night. Going to volleyball practice everyday with me wears these kids out - Ave and Carter do like to jog and condition with the girls! Ave watched a few minutes of PBS kids on the IPad, and she was out!
This might be the dirtiest shirt in the whole world. Teague spilled juice, fudgesicle, and chicken noodle soup on it that day. It was impressive. Luckily, he wasn't seen out in public after the spills!
My Carterman on his first day of 1st grade! He really likes his teacher so far, and he got moved up on the behavior chart for standing still in line after lunch. He's already got about 6 kids to play Superhero Squad with him at recess too. He's Ironman of course.
This was my first picture with the new camera. Looks good! He's been liking all the big books on the bookshelf in the back.
Teague really was happy to be wearing the raincoat - I must have caught a bad moment here. They both love these raincoats. It was raining when we went to pick up Carter at school, so they wanted to wear these. Mom and Dad bought them when Carter and Lando were 4 I think. They were a good purchase!
He was wearing his Superman pajamas and playing with his Superman toy. He thought it was cool to see how well they matched!
Ave always has the best hair in the mornings!
Carter made a Transformer out of Legos. It was really cool; he could make the arms and legs move! I was pretty proud of him - I love that real smile too!
This is Teague's attempt at winking! He is so funny. We had a dance party with all the Lego Avengers the other night. He thought Hulk, Hawkeye, and the gang would be great dancers.
Ave has been loving music lately. That's my girl! I made her a playlist of about 35 songs on my IPod, and she listens to it everyday. I'll have to get a video of she and Teague singing "Teagie Pie Honey Bunch" to "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch". It makes my day!
Lastly, I made my usual attempt to get all 3 to smile at the same time. Carter is trying to get Teague to look up at me. One of these days a good one has to happen! Hope everyone has a lovely week!

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
