2 new videos

All the kids like to watch Good Luck Charlie on NexFlix now. I'm not sure if they should, but it was a Disney Channel show so they tried it out. One day Ave said this gem to Papa, after he said she couldn't get him. It worked pretty perfectly, and we all could not stop laughing. She showed Grandma and Grandpa Barsness when they were here, and they loved it too. The girl's got some sassiness to her!

And now a Friday morning dance party. I apologize for the brightness and shaky quality. "Rio" was on HBO, and they love that show (especially Teague). There is a song by Jamie Foxx, and Will.i.am (dumb name)that Teagie always sings and dances to. He always has a super sweet voice on the Anne Hathaway part too that makes me laugh. They were a little distracted during this video, but it's still funny. Avery does a pretty awesome move at the beginning!

Big smiles for everyone!

I gave Laney my best at home haircut. It is not goood...but she feels much better. She just wanted to play and play afterwards. Luckily Avery and Carter were ready to play also.
I love this picture. They love their dog!
It was one of those random "fix Daddy" nights. Carter is spraying him with water, Teague has a hammer, and I'm not sure what Ave is doing. He's a lucky guy!
What's better than one saw...two saws!
This is Avery's "interested" face. That's what she told me anyway.
Time to draw! I like how Ave is just in a shirt and pants while Teague is all bundled up. He loves his zebra hat.
We had another Friday picnic. This time we went to Clark's Park. Ave looks very happy to be there!
You can't really tell, but Teague is hanging here. He is so big all of a sudden! I don't worry about him falling. He's pretty coordinated!
A little tire swing action. It's Avery's favorite.
Can you tell?
It was very windy. Not cold but windy. Ave helped Teague to the car. She loves her little brother. She is always nice to him.
Landon spent the night on Friday. In the morning they did a great job setting up a cool train track for the Cars.
Then we went to United Way's "Day of the Child" activities in the mall. There was a ton of stuff to do there. They had a blast. They all really loved the face painting.
Landon got a lovely red star.
Carter got a sweet lightning bolt. Teague had one too, but he rubbed it off.
Ave had a pretty pink flower.
Erica's co-worker painted these. She did a great job! I love how Carter is looking down to see what Ave looked like! He wanted to wear a hat this weekend, he looked so cute in it.
Avery lifted Teague up so he could be Buzz. He loved it (almost much as the sucker in his mouth)!
Avery did some coloring at the Girl Scouts booth.
Teague won a balloon! Avery also got some pansys that we put in the garden when we got home. We picked a sheltered spot. Hopefully they are okay out there!
There were a lot of fun games as you can see. I'm glad we went!
Sunday morning was a little rainy, but still warm. This is such a good picture of these 3. Ave really wanted them to get under the umbrella with her!
Teague got this hat at Evel Dayz last year. After Carter wore his weekend, Teague really wanted to wear one too. He looked smashing! He was keeping his playhouse tidy too. What a good boy.
Teague loves his Uncle Kyle. He likes to sit on him and just chat. He's so funny!

Lots of imagination!

Grandma got them some colored soap which they were dying to play with. The pretty much used all 4 bottles in one bath! As you can see, they loved it! They also love bubble beards...apparently Carter had bubble eyes!
Teague did not want to get out of the bath. Ha Ha! His little cranky face is still pretty cute.
Phil and Mary Jo bought Carter this rocking horse for Christmas or his 1st birthday, I can't remember which. It is still very loved! They have a blast pushing eachother down the hallway or going down the two stairs in the front room.
Teague was too busy eating leftover birthday cake to join in!
We have lots of random playtime stuff this week. Ave was helping Teague play memory on the IPad. We have 4 different memory games at home, but this way is less messy!
Carter made the "most powerful Quantonium in the world". It was Quantonium 25 whatever that is. He has quite the imagination. All my kids do. Dr. Graham always said he would like to be a fly on the wall just one day at our house, just to see how busy and silly the kids are. We miss him :(
Carter was begging for a bow and arrow for his birthday. I thought this was a terrible idea. Then I found this cheap-o one with suction cup arrows. He loves it! And he's only allowed to shoot it down the hallway. So far, so good. Unfortunately Teague was obsessed with it! So, our nice Carterman bought his brother one with his own birthday money (thanks Grandma Bonnie!). Teague doesn't even like the arrows or the string on his bow. He just wants to carry it around and say that he's Hawkeye!
Teague was being a superhero fighting Poppa the othernight (note the bow in his hand). These capes they got for Easter are awesome.
Ave was being a shy little "Wonder Avery" here!
Avery wanted to take some pictures the other night. Auntie Erica was ready...then Lando photobombed the picture!
These two are just plain weird. This pose seems to happen a lot. Landon likes his hand on Carter's head I guess! They were very proud of some level they beat on the Wii.
Avery and Teague are going to eat me out of house and home. They have discovered the joy of Poptarts. I swear we went through 6 boxes in a week (their Dad helps)!
This two year old works hard. He took two trips in the bike carrier with Poppa to Ace Hardware (Dad said he made quite a sight carrying his bow around), and they wore him out! He's such a good boy!

My Carter Robert is 6!

First of all, I must tell you that our new Dairy Queen/Orange Julius is finally open! We are all happy, although no one is as happy as my husband. He could drink a Strawberry Julius every day. Unfortunately for him, Teague has decided they are delicious and steals drinks as much as possible!
Last time Carter got his teeth cleaned, the dentist was sick. So we stopped by for a quick check by Dr. Field on Tuesday. All was well, and Carter desperately needed nachos from El Taco afterwards. It is right by the dentists office so what could I do? Landon ordered some spuds, and they enjoyed their snack immensely.
I had to take a picture of Ave's fashion one day before we headed to daycare. She was wearing all leapard print and then threw a zebra scarf on for some contrast. She makes me laugh! She also wanted me to make sure I got her Lilo and Stitch book in the picture. She enjoys that movie.
My Carterman turned 6 years old on Thursday. I can't believe it! He's such a good boy, and he had a great time at school that day. He got to be the leader and hand out some cookies. We had pastys for dinner that night (his favorite thing) and some cupcakes. His cousin and siblings are excellent singers!
He's so handsome - although I think it's almsot haircut time!
On Friday, I took Ave and Teague to Father Sheehan Park for a picnic lunch. It was a little breezy, but they played for a good two hours there. Ave is quite the little worm. She is so careful and balances very well!
Teague refused to let go of his Lightning McQueen cell phone even while walking on the bridge or climbing the rock wall. He can be a tad bit stubborn when he wants to be!
They had a lot of fun, not that I could get a smile out of this guy. He's that age where he will not smile anymore if I ask him to.
Carterman had a wonderful party on Saturday at the Jumparoo. It's about three times bigger than it was last year. So nice! They've added some more activities too. He had a lot of kids there, and they got along great. Madisyn and Mason made friends with Sam, who goes to school at Emerson with Carter.
Landon and Danny (from Emerson) loved this basketball game. So did Madisyn (she'll be a great basketball player like her Mom).
A big cheesy Carter smile. He was so happy the whole time!
Avery was thrilled when Reese and Brooklyn arrived. They had never been there before, and they loved it!
A blurry group shot. Teague was an absolute maniac out there. He only stopped for a drink of juicebox. Otherwise he went down the slides the whole time! I think we've got Danny and cousin Connor in front, Teague, Landon, and Sam next, and Austin and Mason at the top. All different ages, but they were very careful of eachother.
Oh I forgot, Teague did pretend to drive a few times. On a side note, Jordan helped a bunch at the party. She always made sure Teague was not falling over around the big kids. Thanks Jocko!
Time for the cake. Auntie was holding Teague, but everyone else tried to fit in on one table: Danny, Carter, Connor, Elliot (from Emerson), Kasey (from Emerson) on the far side. Then Landon, Sam, Siri (Sam's little sister who Ave knows from daycare), Avery, Brooklyn, Reese, Madisyn, and Mason. Austin must have been jumping!
Time to blow out the candles on his awesome Captain America cake!
He's so cute. The Avengers are very big in our house right now as you can tell from the shirt and cake.
They all started out sitting down, that didn't last long. They really wanted to see what he got for presents! Thank you so much to everyone who came, especially Dick and Diana who drove down from Sunburst. The weather was not lovely this weekend. We appreciate our family and friends!
Lastly, Carter (in his new pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa Burgman) and his little sister before bed. She loves her brothers...one of whom would not sit still for a picture as you can see. Thanks again everybody!
