Silly week

We had a very laid back week. Nothing too exciting, my kids just hung out and were silly. They are both feeling good (knock on wood) except Ave is getting about 4 teeth on the bottom. Here they are hiding on the couch together in the sunshine. This is their new favorite game!
This is Avery's "I know that" face! Anytime she sees something she recognizes, like Mickey Mouse in this book, she says "Oooooooh!". She's quite the reader. She's always bringing me books and climbing on my lap.
This was her "cougar" outfit that Mom and Kels picked out for her. She looked pretty hilarious in it!
Carter absolutely loves to attack his Dad. Kyle gets to be Shredder (he stole blue guy, what a bad man), and Carter as Leonardo must save him with his two swords. Carter's got some sweet ninja turtle moves!
We went up to Tech to watch Abb and Jord dance at halftime (very impressive). Ave had about the best time ever. She clapped for the basketball game, danced almost out of my arms during halftime, and kept pointing to the band and saying "Oooh, Oh!". The boys also did some dancing of course.
Just a cute little smile from my naked boy. I don't know why Carter loves being naked so often, but he does. Right after dinner, he usually asks to get naked. It's been pretty good for potty training though!
He's also been talking about his muscles a lot lately. Yesterday he told me his tato soup was making his muscles big. The next bite was making his head big (he's so goofy)! Kyle was trying to get him to make a tough face.
Here's another awesome view of his giant biceps. Try not to tremble in fear. Someday all that eating will catch up with him! He's getting taller though, and it's stretching him out even more!
Avery saw the boys eating suckers and just had to have one. She was actually very good with it. Carter just crunches his up in about 10 seconds. She was wearing a cute fall dress too. Wrong season, but very cute.
There's me and my baby girl. She was beeping my nose. She's getting good at knowing where everyone's eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and hair are.
Carterman just loves Lane. He wants to chase her every night when we get home, which is great with Laney! Here's a nice closeup of his swords/paint stirrers also.
Cute picture of Erica and Lando minus part of Erica's head, oops. They look so much alike!
There's silly Avers hiding by the TV again. She's so sure no one can see her back there. I'm taking that pacifier away a little more every day. She usually only has it at bedtime now, but it's been helping with those new teeth too. I'm glad Carter never used one!
One of her daycare ladies gave her this outfit for her birthday - it's very cute. The onesie says "Little Miss Cutie" on it. She decided to cover it in as many spaghetti noodles as she possibly could at dinner time!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day/President's Day week. We kept it pretty low key around here. Last night Carter and I ran over to Erica's house to put the pictures up on her computer since Mom and Dad's is acting up. Carter had a great time. He loves to play with Landon's train set.
Avers really likes this tutu that came with a pair of her pajamas. I think she loves it because she can take it off and on herself. She had it on her head for awhile - she looked like a flower!
Mom and I took Ave and Laney for a walk this weekend on the trail. Avery enjoyed it a lot. She kept pointing at cars, ducks, Laney, trees...anything really.
They all had a great time with Poppa Sunday night. He brought them some M&Ms to share (see the chocolate faces) and later bounced them on his legs. What fun!
Sometimes on Kyle's dinner break, Carter will hang out in the cop car with him. He thinks he driving to go catch some bad guys. Daddy even lets him turn on the lights and sirens on occasion!
Carter can pretty much fold his skinny little self in half. He fits nicely in this laundry basket. Landon was going to "save" him though.
Carter loves wrestling his sister. Luckily he's pretty gentle about it. We usually don't have to interfere because Avery loves it too...unless Carter sits on her.
I tried to get a picture of them all in red on Friday. They had a little Valentine's party at daycare. Carter didn't feel like sitting up though, and Avery was laughing at Landon saying "cheese". Still cute!
She was walking around in her dress and red shoes shaking her head back and forth. She looks a little crazy here, which she is!
Happy Valentine's Day! Avery got these glasses in her treat bag from daycare, and she loves them! Abbey got this awesome picture of her six front teeth, silly smile, and granola bar face.
Landoman came over to our house last Wednesday. We had a good time. He decided he needed to take a bath which was fine by me. The boys always have fun with bubbles.
Carter was asleep when Lando first got there so Landon had to play with Avery. It actually went fairly well! Here they are in the barn tent together.
This is Avery in her hiding spot. She loves to go behind the edge of the TV. She's sure no one can see her. She'll come running out laughing and then point to where she was. She thinks we are all not very bright!
This girl could brush her teeth 24 hours a day. She loves her toothbrush. She also likes to brush her hair, so she was one happy baby with both her brushes.
She was bringing some pillows to Uncle Kyle so he could throw them at the boys. She's super strong and so helpful!
She looked so cute in this cat shirt from Aunt Diane. We got many compliments. The girls at the daycare said they haven't seen her wear the same outfit since Christmas! She's very fashionable...and a bit spoiled!

Finally some new ones

I think most of you know already, but I lost my new camera at the Civic Center. I was not happy that no one turned it in, but I suppose it's my own fault. So that's why we are a week behind on the blog. Luckily, my old camera still works fine. It's just scratched up - no big deal. Here's my Avers with Poppa making a silly face while everyone was singing "Happy Birthday" to Erica.
The boys wanted to be "naked boys" before pajama time, and Carter can't stay away from cake. He almost attacked Terri when she brought it in. He always is sitting right next to whoever's birthday it is too! Erica had to do some creative covering with her arm so I could take some pictures!
This is him singing to her. He loves to sing "Happy Birthday to you Auntie Erica". It was Auntie Erica's 26th birthday. Since it was Superbowl Sunday, we'll have her dinner later this week.
We took the kids up to the gym and let them run and run and run before the Superbowl. It worked pretty well. They were all sitting on their buddy Jordan while we watched in the front room. Avery fell asleep sitting next to her a couple minutes later.
Abb and Jord babysat for us the night before so we could go to dinner for Erica's birthday. It was fun. We ate at Christina's (delicious!) and had a couple drinks at the Vu.
Just a sisters picture. We have about a million of these!
Leena was the one whose idea it was to go to dinner. It was a great idea! Happy birthday to Erica!
We did our usual Saturday swimming at the Y. Lando was a swimming fool. He had a noodle that he hung on to and swam all over the pool by himself. He was kicking like a maniac. Pretty impressive!
My girl was scaring the crap out of me. She decided she could walk by herself all over. She was touching the fountains and trying to climb up the slide. She thinks she's so big!
Carter was running so fast through the fountains that he would have to stop himself on the frog slide. He's such a crazy little guy.
There she is in all her glory. She loves that swimsuit. I'll be sad when we have to get a new one. That day is coming up shortly I think. She's getting taller every day.
Kind of a blurry action shot, but you can tell he's having a good time!
I found a little coat that fits her pretty well. I'm sure my mom got it for her. My mom can't resist a cute coat. She looks like a little bear, which makes sense since we call her Boo Boo bear all the time! Carter knows who Boo Boo is now. He's become a big fan of Boomerang network, which shows classic cartoons. He loves Johnny Quest, Jabber Jaws, The Flinstones, Tom and Jerry, and Yogi Bear now!
Avery discovered the joy of ramen noodles. She sat right next to Jordan and just begged for more! Everyone loved her shirt that she got for Christmas in Sunburst too. The daycare ladies couldn't stop laughing at it.
She tries to climb in the tub everynight. She loves these Thomas trains and especially her ducks. There are five ducks. She lines them up and makes them hop over eachother. She also drops them in the water so she can say "uh oh UH OH". She's a goof.
When my kids have powdered donuts they don't even know I'm there. Aren't these just lovely faces?
I told Carter he could have one more if he was nice and shared with his sister, so he gave her a kiss. He's a pretty good big brother. I said let's go to the kitchen, and he said "Follow me baby" to Ave!
Avery really loves her Uncle Kyle. She's always climbing all over him and peeking at him. She just went and plopped herself on his lap the other night.
I always play patty-cake with Avery's feet so she can do it with her hands. She really enjoys saying "Yay!" and clapping for herself.
My kids really like eachother's toys. I'm sure that's how it always is! Carter and Avery (check out her crazy hair) were having so much fun crashing into eachother. Carter on the princess toy and Ave on the Tonka truck of course!
Speaking of crazy hair, here's Carter after his nap. He was still only half awake I think. Laney was giving him kisses all over his face. He thought that was a nice way to wake up!
Here's Mr. Lando looking quite grown-up and handsome after his haircut. His haircut was very traumatic, but he liked the way it looked when we were done. He kept saying the next couple days, "Brinna, you gave me a haircut." Carter likes to touch his hair too.
And last but not least, before the haircut. It really is quite a dramatic change. He looks good either way!

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
