What a great Christmas!

We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas in Sunburst - hope everyone had a great one! We all got spoiled by the presents, food, and company. Thanks to everyone involved again! Here are my gorgeous kids in their Christmas clothes. Grandma Diana picked out some perfect outfits.
I love this picture. Avery was pretty good about not being shy. She hung out with "Auntie Callie" a few times. She just looks so silly in this picture with only two of her six teeth showing!
We managed to get a couple family pictures. Kind of rare since Kyle or I usually have the camera. My kids could eat Grandma Bonnie's party mix every day. It's a favorite.
I know Carter's not looking in this one, but it makes me laugh. Avery was trying her hardest to say "cheese" like her brother. She was close - it was an "eee" sound! I can tell by her little face!
He is looking very male model in this picture. You can't deny that he's a handsome fella!
Carter was absolutely in heaven with all the puppy kisses. He just really loves animals. It worked out well because if there ever was a dog who liked to give kisses, it's Josie!
Diana said she couldn't resist this hat. I completely understand. Ave looked like a little Russian doll in it. So beautiful!
We're going to have to try to wear this dress again. It was just too lovely. I think Avers knew she was looking good. She kind of danced a couple times to watch the skirt swish around her!
I think Carter couldn't have had a better day. He got to play in lots of snow, get tons of new awesome stuff, hang out with five dogs, and let his buddy Nate help him see Lucky!
Carter was very funny with Nate. On Christmas night, Carter touched his chin and said, "I need to ask Nate a question." The question was "Are you a gray wolfie?". He's so silly. That's from his favorite new movie, The Flight Before Christmas.
Carter, of course, had to say hello to some cows too. He was very worried about them sleeping outside in the dark.
There was so much snow at the farm! That was awesome because Butte's dry as a bone. Carter and Laney had a fabulous time playing in it. Kyle told me Carter kept sinking in and saying, "Help me Daddy!".
Fancy is the best dog. She loves little kids. Avery kept walking by and patting her, and she was just so good. Carter was even counting her paws at one point. He enjoyed a big German Shepherd kiss!
There's the Jos getting him again. I always love to see Josie. I have fond memories of trying to cut her hair and giving her baths in Butte when she was just a puppy!
Here's my little girl with her toy from Santa. Carter had one of these when he turned one, and he loved it! What little kid doesn't like to hammer stuff?
This is my Carterman with perhaps, the greatest present he will ever receive. He got a Donatello kit. He was officially the happiest boy ever.
This is what we've watched for 3 days now. Carter with his bo practicing his ninja turtle moves. He taught Avery to put her hand in the air when he says, "Cowabunga!".
Little Kaden is such a good baby. He let everyone hold him. He just makes nice little noises and looks around at everyone. He's a cutie.
Colty and Breanne had also watched "The Flight Before Christmas" when it was on CBS after Rudolph so they knew the story. I like this cute picture of Carter and Colten watching it together. Carter kept looking at him to make sure they were sitting the same way.
Here's my handsome guy on Christmas Eve. Kyle saw this argyle sweater when we were at the Children's Place and couldn't resist it. It was quite smashing on him.
Here's my baby girl in her Christmas Eve outfit from my mom. She looks good in red luckily. She ended up taking off her shoes, but they were so cute too.
This was on the 23rd. Kyle was making Carter give Avery kisses before they could play. They just look so silly.
She's so goofy. I love her little crinkly nose face that she makes when she's being funny. She was giggling like crazy when Carter was hanging upside down by her!
Here's the side view of her hilarious little Grinch outfit. My mom couldn't help but buy it for her. Those buttons on the side of those leggings killed me. I was calling her "Avery Lou Who" that night.
She's such a good baby. She just makes everybody laugh everyday. She's getting to be quite a little imitator. If you laugh, she does. Same with fake coughing and crying!
These boys are so funny. They were wearing Mom's flashing snowflake necklace together and walking around the house to show everyone. I was surprised how careful they were to stay pretty close so neither one choked!
And last but not least...Ave on "her chair". She absolutely loves this lawn chair that Dad brought in for her. She likes to sit in it and stretch out, or just bounce. She's one happy baby. So I guess that's it for now. Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

The quiet before the storm!

This was kind of a quiet week for us. That's probably good because this week will be crazy-like holidays should be! Avery just discovered she could rip the bows off presents! Here's my girl taking a bath. She's so silly in there.
Speaking of crazy, there's my little splashing boy. He was absolutely soaking Aunt Kelsie. I think his goal was to actually make her get in the tub!
We made pastys yesterday. They were absolutely delicious like always. Kelsie was going to put this on Facebook to make Joe jealous. Sorry Joe. That's just cruel.
We had to take a time out to feed my babies. Avery was trying to love her brother, and he was having none of it. Kyle took them home for naps right after.
Here's my girl playing with some cars. Carter usually gives her Fillmore (the van), but he actually let her play with a couple newer ones. It's hilarious when she tries to drive them and say vroom, vroom.
On Saturday, we took the boys and Avery to the Y. They had the best time. We were there for about an hour and a half. There was no crying, whining...just fun. What a good day!
I took a couple pictures right when we got in the pool. Then we just swam and swam. Avery was the best girl. She grinned the whole time. She splashed, she kicked, she tried to make us let go of her so she could walk on her own, she gave the lifeguards some silly smiles...she just loved it!
Here's the Kelsie-shark coming to get the boys. Landon enjoyed attacking the Kelsie-shark when it got too close. It's so nice to have her here!
Here's Carter going down the frog slide. As you can tell, he also had a great time. He wore himself out too. He ate a whole taco afterwards and then passed out!
There's the Landoman on the slide. He also had a marvelous time. He was splashing and swimming like a little maniac. He also took a good nap (which is kind of rare for him lately)!
I love this picture. This was in the locker room before we got in the pool. They were ready to go! I just love the boys in their CARS shorts surrounding my little baby in her beautiful swimsuit from Terr and the girls.
We had their daycare Christmas party at the Depot on Thursday night. It was very cute...and very busy. Santa came, and everyone brought some food to share. The boys and Avery really enjoyed this train and some cookies.
These two cut in line to get on Santa's lap. It was kind of embarrassing, but everyone just laughed. One minute they were looking at the train, the next minute they were on Santa's lap. They each got a car from him so they were happy. Avery had just woken up and when I tried to put her on Santa's lap she screamed and screamed!
They were enthralled by this train. It kept them busy so the rest of us could eat. All in all a good time. Many, many more pictures to come next Monday. I can't wait!

Getting ready for Christmas

The boys took a bath last night at Mom & Dad's house and gave Poppa a good workout afterwards. They did airplane rides up to the ceiling. Here's crazy little Landon.

Here's my little crazy man. It's funny to look at because I remember getting airplane rides when we lived in Lincoln!
Look at that insane little face. Can you tell he was loving every minute it of it? My mom laughed at his skinny little arms too.
Here's Miss Avers enjoying the fun of the laundry basket. It's one of the best toys ever. You can sit in it, push it, and play peek-a-boo!
Carter decided that we were going to make brownies the other night, and he would sleep in the kitchen. He brought his pillows and blankets out there. Ave decided to join him.
His sister decided they needed to share the same pillow (I'm sure she wanted a bite of his cracker too!). They were being so cute. We did make some brownies, but Carter decided the floor was not very soft.
Jordan was showing the boys how she could play Super Mario Brothers on the computer. They thought it was pretty cool. They've always liked Mario and "WeeGee".
He has a very sweet face. I don't get to see it often because he's hardly ever sitting still!
There's my big walking girl! She's starting to really want to walk all over the place. When she falls, she usually gets back up now instead of crawling. She's so big!
Carter took this picture. Not bad. Avers really likes to sit up there in Carter's room and play with puzzles. Isn't that sweater the cutest thing? Auntie Erica gave that to her before she was born!
Carter was showing her who the bad guy was in Kung Fu Panda (Ti Lun, he's a bad leopard!). He really likes that movie. It is a really funny show.
I've been trying to take a good picture of them together for a Christmas card. It hasn't happened yet. If one is cooperating, than the other isn't. Oh well, I've still got this week. It might end up being two seperate pictures! Carter gave me a big smile!
They are my little goofballs. I don't know what's going on here!
They did enjoy playing with this slinky, but it's not a good picture. Kind-of washed out.
Here's a great one! He's hugging her and she's trying to eat his face.
Another winner! Ave looks so silly too! I'm not sure why Carter felt the need to wear his shoe and Kelsie's boot on his hands.
My girl got a hold of her brother's donut the other day. He only ate about a quarter of it, and she finished the rest. As you can tell, it was quite delicious! She's my little piggie.
We had a miserably frigid last week here. It was -40 at night and -10 during the day for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Not fun. Here's my bundled up little man getting ready to go to daycare.
Here's my bundled up little girl in her big warm coat that Grandma got her. She looks pretty comfortable to me!
Here's my silly little guy being a ninja turtle like always. He couldn't find any weapons around so he used a pen. He's Donatello usually. That's his favorite.
Finally, here's my girl giving her Daddy some loves. She is very nice about kisses and hugs. If you tell her something is so soft, she'll lay her head down on it. She's a sweet baby!

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
