Get into the groove

I'm trying to get back in the swing of things. This is kind of a short little blog, but hopefully I'll do another one Monday. This is not the best picture of my boy, but this shirt makes me laugh. Mom and Dad got it for him in Alaska.
I have a lot of pictures of my girl this week. Carter has been kind of subdued lately. We thought he was getting sick, but he seems okay now. Ave loves to read books. We read at least 5 every night! Her favorite is the Elmo blanket one. There is a character in there we don't know. He is a big blue guy, dark eyebrow, purple nose, and red and white striped pants. We've since found him in three other books. Carter's named him Bompygoog. I had to share that. I think it's an awesome name!
Ave really likes anything that she can find in Erica's purse. The sunglasses are always a big hit!
I needed a couple pictures of my Carterman. This is his self portrait! It's a great look at his nostrils.
If Avery could wear Carter's shoes everyday, she would be thrilled. Anytime they come off him, they go on her. Pantsless is always classy too! She's been pooping on the potty the last three days. She's brilliant!
Avery realized some of her stuffed animals could drink tea with us. Minnie was the first to join the party.
This outfit from Grandma and Grandpa Barsness was so cute on her. I had to get a picture before she ruined it in some way!
Poor tired baby girl. She was playing with Carter in his room. Kyle and I were watching a movie and could hear them being so loud and silly. Then suddenly it was quiet. This is why!
This picture makes me laugh! Carter and Daddy were being cyber turtles. It's Carter's favorite turtle episode. The turtles put on cyber suits and figure out the weapons. Carter and Kyle had to walk around the house shooting bad guys with their shoulders!
Then Avery got a horsey ride from a non-cyber Daddy. She's a goofball.
She is getting so good at dressing herself - ha ha! After going potty, she made her frog pajama shorts into an awesome miniskirt. Her silly face makes me laugh!
Carter might be the best brother in the whole world. After the purple white football game on Friday, we came back through the school to get to our car. Carter decided he better hold Aver's hand so she didn't get lost. I LOVE this picture!
They went all the way through the gym like that too. Doesn't Ave look so happy? I've got some awesome kids!

Long absence - Sorry

This is the most random group of pictures ever. I'm not sure if any of them were taken on the same day! Oh well, at least they are finally up. I got pretty sick last week, and this week we started volleyball. That didn't leave me a lot of time for the blog. I'll try to get back on track though! Here's my boy's awesome Wolverine hair after a bath. I love when it's curly like that.
Carter had fallen asleep out on the couch, so Avery took advantage. She went in his room and played with all his toys for a good hour or so! Notice the shoes too. Terri found her these cute little pink Crocs. She likes to wear them to bed.
Carter looks so much like his Daddy. I say that all the time, but it's true!
The three of them just remembered how much fun the color change cars are. They played with them a couple of times this last week. It's so so messy, but they have a really good time!
I desperately needed groceries the other night. It was early and my babies were bathed and in pajamas already. So we decided to take a trip to Walmart. They were surprisingly good for me out there. Therefore, they got to ride Mickey Mouse twice!
This is just a typical Avery picture. She's an absolute disaster - totally messy, eating, crazy hair, and having fun with Daddy!
Auntie Erica got Carter the coolest shirt ever. I've never seen a Turtles shirt for sale anywhere before, and she found one for both boys at Herbergers. He's worn it twice in about 10 days so far - Abb helped to show it off!
We made a little trip up to Copper Mountain a couple weekends ago. It was hot! That's a really nice playground though; all the kids had fun. There's a big sand volleyball pit, and Carter brought all his dinosaurs up there to play in the dirt. He kills me! Ave pretty much swung the entire time!
Grandma and Grandpa Barsness bought Avery a little Sleeping Beauty tea set. We've had tea parties galore! Carter made Kyle and I have some tea with him before bed the other night. He pretends to put in milk and sugar for us, and we all say "Cheers"!
Avers decided to wear this beautiful new dress Terri found at JCPenney's. It's just gorgeous. Ave knows she looks pretty in it!
She's starting to be a little girly. She really likes to fix people's hair - even Carter's. She mostly just rolls it around in her hands. He's such a good brother!
I've always loved a picture of "the sprawl"!
One Monday when we played volleyball at Jim's, Jordan kept the babies over at Ken's for me. They loved it! They really enjoyed the trampoline, and their old black lab Clifford. Carter kept telling Clifford he was going to turn him red like the books. He's a clown! Here's Ave's silly trampoline face!
Carter had the best time. He liked to sit in the middle and just have Jordan spike him. It was hilarious! He keeps asking to go back there.
We went to a birthday party for my friend Mariya's little girl. It was at Clark's Park. Jordan came with us, and the kids had lots of fun. Avery really enjoyed her two cupcakes!
Jocko probably won't like this picture, but look how much fun Avery is having with her! So cute!
Their favorite part of Clark's Park is not the new Splash Pad, or the horsey swings, it's still the hills. Is there anything more fun than just careening down a hill?
Carterman has excellent form. He was probably being the Flash. Halloween will be interesting this year. So far Carter wants to be Leonardo, Batman, The Flash, The Green Lantern, and Wolverine!

A Long Video

Avery was singing Itsy Bitsy Spider over and over again the other night. Of course, when I went to take a video she stopped. Luckily, Iron Man came in and sang for me. It's a very long video though. Ave did sing a little Itsy Bitsy, some ABC ABC ABC, and some Rock-a-Bye Wolfie finally. We dedicated this to our buddy Auntie Kelsie. Enjoy!

Kalispell Trip!

We went to Kalispell this weekend to visit Aunt Diane, Uncle Art, and Dana and her family. We had a blast! There are many, many pictures to follow. When we got back, my kids were a bit tired. Here's Ave snuggling up with her Daddy and some "chocate milkie" as she says.
My big girl wants to be as big as her brother. She has pooped on the potty twice and peed once. She thinks she's so cool (and she is). So we bought her some big girl underwear. They're a little large but awfully cute!
We went to Whitefish Lake on Sunday. It was awesome. The weather cooperated and all the kids had a ton of fun. Ave liked the sand better than the water. She spent most of the afternoon shoveling. Look at that face!
The boys really enjoyed going out for rides on the innertube. The water was a little chilly, but that beach is awesome - shallow water for such a long ways. We could walk all over with the boys. Great idea Diane!
We left Carter's swim trunks at Diane's house so he was in underwear until we grabbed some shorts. Looking good!
Diane and Grandma decided Avery needed a stroller and a baby (she played with Madelyn's the day before). They kindly picked up one of each for her at Target. She absolutely loves them! She slept with her baby last night.
Dana, Jason, Jada, and Madelyn came over Saturday for pizza and Diane's pool. The kids all had a great time together. They were so cute, hyper, and funny. Here's Carter giving the much taller Jada a hug goodbye.
Avery and Jada were pals. After we came in from outside they set up a blanket and pillow and were hanging out together on the floor. Jada and Madelyn both have so much hair!
Diane had everything...snow cones, popsicles, toys, a pool, pancakes. What more could we ask for? She's the best hostest around!
The three girls hanging out on the deck. Dana said Madi never cooperates for pictures! Of course, my kid is naked too. Carter and Avery just love to be naked. I don't know why, but hopefully it doesn't happen in public!
Landon and Jada are about a month apart. Jada's older. They are both very tall kids!
These girls are too funny together. Madi always has to check out what Jada's up to. They are so cute!
Carter and Landon figured out the darts can stick to their bodies. They were being "cyber turtles" (Carter's favorite Ninja Turtle episode) and were walking around making shooting noises while pushing out their stomachs.
Carter decided to get Art wet, and Art got him back. It was hilarious! Carter loved it - he was absolutely soaked!
This is the coolest water toy ever! It rolls and squirts - they had so much fun with it.
Three kids in the pool, and they're all actually clothed! That was a rare occurence.
My girl is so cute. She loved all these little animal toys. Her favorite was the turtle, who for some reason she named "Tiny"!
She got pretty good at hopping in and out of the pool by herself. She's getting to be a brave girl!
As much as I'm against nudity, this picture was too funny to pass up. Landon and Avery naked in the pool!
She's such a turkey. She kept walking around and sucking her stomach in. She was making us all laugh!
We met Dana and the kids at Woodland Park earlier on Saturday. We gave Madelyn her month late birthday present there.
Madelyn had brought her stroller, and Avery just took off with it. She usually never wants a girl toy when we're at the store, but when she saw Madi pushing it she couldn't help herself.
Woodland Park is so fun. They have great playgrounds, such pretty scenery, and tons of ducks to feed. Daddy helped Carter sit on the bridge to toss out some bread.
Aunt Diane helped Avery. She was so funny talking to the ducks. Everytime she went to play, she'd wave and say "Bye ducks!".
This is the only picture I got of the playground! I'm not sure how that's possible, but it's a cute one.
When we got there Friday night, Aunt Diane surprised Carter and Avery with snowcones! Can you tell Carter was happy about that?
We were there for maybe ten minutes before Carter was in the pool naked. That pool was quite a hit! Thanks again Daine and Art - that was so much fun!
I love when my babies play together. They get along very well 90% of the time. Here they are in Carterman's room playing farm.
This is such a typical Avery picture. She's just goofy! Kelsie, she got many compliments on these shorts. Kabri asked at open gym if they came in her size!
The boys were singing Happy Birthday to Poppa! Dad's birthday was on the 27th, and we had a delicious dinner and cake.
Poor tired guy. Playing the Ninja Turtle video game wears a boy out!

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
