Huge post - big weekend

We had a big week and big weekend. Carl and Jenny were here until Saturday morning, Friday and Saturday nights were my 10 year high school reunion things, Saturday was the regional Big Sky State Games up at Butte High, and Sunday we got all the kids together! Whoo - so much fun! Here's Madisyn in her pool out at Ritter's house. She's so cute and smart.

How cute is this? Carter and Madisyn gave eachother a nice hug when it was time to go. Ritter always says they're going to be prom dates. Carter better get a little taller!
Here's Ritter's little guy, Mason, with Grandma Janie. He is so cute and calm. He's always happy.
Carter absolutely loves Ritter's dog Gunnar. He gave him a big goodbye hug. He's a very good dog. He just laid in the shade and let the kids pet him.
These are my best buds! It was so much fun to have Michelle come in from Vegas, and Dana come down from Kalispell. We just hung out and talked all weekend.
This is one crazy picture. It's hard to believe that it's been 10 years! It's really hard to believe that Ritter, Dana, and I have two kids each!
Madi is one crazy little girl. She wanted to get in that pool so bad, and it was cold well water. She didn't care. Dana said her daycare ladies call her "Bulldozer".
We tried to get the older kids to take a picture together. My little man was not cooperating. He did not want to sit on that bench!
Mike found some squirtguns inside, and they were a huge hit. Carter, of course, went around the yard going "Pow, Pow, Power". We have no clue why he says that!
Madisyn is an excellent delivery girl. She was looking pretty fantastic in her ruffly swimsuit and hat!
Isn't she just the cutest thing? Madelyn is going to turn one in just a couple days, July 3rd. She's a great walker; she was all over that yard!
Jada's hair is starting to look more and more like Dana's. She was busy playing with Madisyn's tools as you can see.
This was Sunday morning before we went out to Ritter's house. We got Avery nice and full so she would take a nap. She always puts her hand on her forehead when she eats - it makes us laugh!
She was looking quite beautiful in her ladybug dress and bloomers. She apparently wanted to show them off to everyone!
Saturday night we went to the Depot. It was fun, but pretty crazy. Friday was a little better since it was just our class that was at the Kingpin. We had a good time though. Carterman spent the night with Erica and Landon while Jord and Terr hung out at our house with Avery. We are lucky to have such fabulous babysitters!
Kyle managed to find a Sunburst buddy on Saturday (and apparently also a hat)! I had never met Justin before, but I knew his kids went to the same daycare as Carter. They had a good time visiting.
This was Friday at the Kingpin. It's a volleyball picture - these were the 5 seniors that played in 99 (Me, Ritter, Michelle, Jackie Jurenic, and Dana). It was great to just see what people were up to. Mom and Dad babysat that night for us. Thanks everyone! I haven't been out in a long time, and I'm glad I went to the reunion!
Saturday was a crazy day. We were up at Butte High from 8am to 7pm. Dad was there even longer. It went well though (we qualified for Billings), and we had great helpers. Jordan and Chelbe ran the concession stand for us all day! Abbey did admissions and helped keep score. They are fantastic!
Here's Grandma, her boys, and their wives. We always love when Carl and Jenny come up to visit in the summer. We had a great time - wish it could last longer. Grandma loves when both her sons are together.
Avers got to wear a beautiful romper on Friday. I think we're finally getting into the hot, hot weather. She looked lovely sitting with her Daddy. Kyle was dressed up because they went golfing out at Old Works.
Lando and Carter came and visited us at Butte High for a little while. Landon and Carter had giant spoons and were pretending to feed me cake, cereal, pancakes, and soup. They're crazy little guys.
Carter finally got to wear his sleeveless basketball shirt. As you can see, he was working on his huge muscles down in the weight room!
Here's one of our family pictures for the summer. I hope Carl and Jenny got a better one since little Kyle's eyes are closed! The boys didn't want to smile either, but they are holding hands. Very cute! Hope you had a good trip back Carl and Jenny!
Here's my pretty sleepin' girl on the couch. These bunny jammas are a favorite of mine. They are nice and light and form-fitting. Good pick Alaska girls!
Doesn't he look like a pro? I told him he had cool baseball pajamas so he had to find his bat!
My pretty pantsless girl was having a good time with Abbey on Thursday. She's starting to get very vocal - testing out all the lovely noises she can make!
Jordo and I made a trip to Emerson with the boys last week. I rode them in their carrier on Dad's bike, which was a little scary at first since his bike is so big. It was fun though. We were there for about an hour!
Jordan's hair is getting so long! She was a big help this whole week.
They were touching the dino bones. They kept calling it a dragon though, which made me laugh.
Landon is quite the climber. He can go up that rock wall in about 15 seconds! Wow, I guess that's the end. What a week!

3 Day Weekend

Carterman was an absolute nutcase all weekend. He was crazy and silly and weird! Here he is in his winter boots over his pajamas with a chocolate donut face. He was chasing Landon around and around the house with a cucumber and an orange from his kitchen.
Later he decided to ride his horse, which he calls Lucky sometimes and Buck sometimes (Buck is from Home on the Range) while writing some notes on his notepad. He's a multi-tasker!
Erica and Lando came over on Saturday and Sunday just to hang out. It was fun for the boys. We taped some big pictures on the coffee table for them to color. Carter had Woody and a horse, and Landon had a whole bunch of Cars. They traded and colored together quite nicely. The pictures turned out very beautiful.
Avers and Carter took a very nice bath together on Sunday night. Afterwards Avery decided to play peek-a-boo with her blanket. She's getting to be such a funny little girl.
I have some very nice smiles from Carterman on this blog. He's not being so cheesy anymore! This just kills me. He's been filling his toolbelt with stuff from his kitchen. As you can see, he has a banana, a roll, a wooden spoon, and a whisk. There is also a wrench in the very back. He's such a clown!
I was cleaning out Avery's 0-3 month clothes, and I found this lovely hat that matched her pajamas. I tried it on just to take a picture. I'm glad I did, because she looks awfully cute. We get a lot of compliments on those big, dark blue eyes!
Here's my little happy monkey sitting with Terri. She's starting to like sitting up a lot more. She used to just squirm around so she could lay down.
I got Carter and Landon some new summer jammies from Disney. Landon's have Lightning McQueen. Carter was loving these. He kept saying "To Infinity and Beyond!!!" while jumping around.
In honor of Father's Day, I have a couple pictures with Daddy. Carter always gives Kyle a big kiss before work. It helps him "catch bad guys". He usually has a nice hug for him on his dinner break also.
Here's Kyle and his little girl. She just loves her Daddy. She always has a big smile and some crazy kicks for him when he talks to her.
Just a sweet baby Avery smile. She enjoys being tickled on her belly. Her little laugh is so funny. I'll have to try to get a video of it.
I really like this Carter smile. He's a handsome little fella. It's very rare he's standing still long enough for me to take a close-up!
Dad and Mom went to Three Bears (sort of our Costco) to do some major shopping. Dad found the Cheeseballs. Carter was so happy! He thought he was pretty buff carrying them around.
Just another nice smile. The boys had a good time in the bath, but my camera needed to be charged so this is the only picture I got. They're good little guys who are good buddies. Carter talks about "my cousin name's Landon" all the time.

Sunburst and More

Here's my little man with one of his mosquito bite horns on the way back from Sunburst. They've been swelling up horribly this year, but go down to normal after a day. He didn't care; he had a healthy snack of pringles!

Carter was so funny out at the farm. He just talked and talked to everyone. He saw this picture yesterday and told Landon, "It's Callie!". It was so nice to see everyone.

Here's my pretty girl in a nice summer outfit. It was beautiful on Saturday - just perfect weather. Avers had a rough day though; she just refused to take a nap. Luckily Carter's excellent mood made up for that.
Carter absolutely loves this bike from Dick and Diana's house. Grandpa brought it out to the farm so Carter could ride around on the nice sidewalks out there...so of course, he's in the dirt. Carter was very happy to see his cousins. He and Colty laid on the floor together and watched Iron Giant until he fell asleep. Thanks again Chris and Aly for the cute Avery outfits and fun activity stuff for Carter!
I think this was the highlight of the weekend. He can't stop talking about "riding a horse". Last night he kept telling me, "I need to go to the farm". Phil is his new hero!
He got kisses from a cow too. Could it really get any better for a little guy?
You can't really tell here, but Carter was steering in the Ranger. Carter, Kyle, and Callie went out looking for cows earlier in the day. Fritzi and Fancy rode in the back which Carter thought was hilarious!
This is right when we got there. Carter plopped right down in between Diva and Laney. He loved to run around the long hallways in Dick and Diana's house with the puppies.
Here's Miss Avers rolling around on the floor. She was really loving looking at the dogs too. She got to wear her cute little onesie from Aunt Diane. Lovely!
Have you ever seen a happier little face? He loves a good Diva kiss! All the dogs in Sunburst are so great. They just love little kids, and Carter loves them.
Carter was telling Avery the Rolling Machine about Diva. He told her the next day, "C'mon, I show you the farm". I just like his funny little face, and Avery listens intently. Thanks again everyone. It was a great weekend. Hopefully we'll do it again soon!
This is the back door at our house. Carter has discovered Laney's dog door, and he thinks this is beyond fun to crawl out of. We've been closing it up at night because last year a cat came to visit us at about 4 in the morning!
We're trying to fatten him up! Peanut butter spoons were always a favorite after school treat for us. We're easy to please.
Carter has become obsessed with robots. He keeps asking Laney if she wants to go find robots with him. Last week Carter and Landon both wore robot shirts to daycare - Erica and I always do that! Then they watched the bad robot (from the Incredibles) while they ate dinner. The good robot is the Iron Giant. Got it?
Here's Grandma and two of her grandchildren. Anyone who's holding Avery usually gets a Carterman also. He's an excellent big brother, but he can get a bit jealous. He's also learned to completely undress himself - what a genius!
We had a cold and gloomy week in Butte. The nice thing was that Aves got to wear a bunch of 3-6 month warmer outfits. She looks quite gorgeous in red.
Just a happy boy face. He got to go to the store and get donuts - one of his favorite things. He's my little ham.

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
