Getting ready for Christmas

Here's our first ever Christmas picture. I don't think I look very good, but everyone else does! You can see our sad little tree in the background!
This is what Carter does when he wakes up in the morning: grabs his blue elephant and eats its nose. I like his polar bear feet.
Carter loves Grandma Burgman's fiber optic snowman. He played with it for about twenty minutes last night. He enjoyed some juice too!
His new thing is to lick his lips constantly. I don't know if it feels good on his gums or what - it's funny though.
Laney likes to make everyone in the room play fetch with her. It was Carter's turn to throw the horse!
Carter loves his Grandpa. He doesn't even fight him about sleep - he just snuggles right into that shoulder.
Carter thought this "Bumble" that sings "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" was really fascinating. His Dad is going to get him hooked on claymation in no time!
Carter likes a nice cookie for a snack. He did end up eating the half that got stuck to his shoulder!
Carter is getting much taller but also very solid. He's a little muscle man - check out those thighs!
Mom got these pajamas for him in Billings about three months ago, and I forgot about them. Luckily, he fits nicely in them. They're so cute!
Kyle got a picture of Carter falling asleep while I was feeding him his evening meal. The poor guy gets so worn out playing at daycare.
Carter thinks the tree is really cool. He's not sure about it though. He'll touch it and then pull his arm back really fast. I guess that's better than trying to pull branches off!
I just like his little hands in this picture. He looks very happy about something!
Here's a little man getting tickled by his Dad. His armpits, thighs, and belly are very ticklish.
This is his fake gagging face. He pretends to gag now for attention. His day care lady said he saw her son do it and copied him. He tries to copy everyone. Lovely, huh?

2 weeks of stuff!

These are kind of mixed up between the last two weeks. At least I finally got some up!

Carter was having some delicious puffs the other night. I actually just put this up because his hair was so crazy. You can see how fluffy it is on the sides!
I just think this picture is cute. It's getting hard to hold him when we're sitting down. He's getting tall and pretty strong!
Carter tried his first bite of pancakes on Sunday. He wasn't sure about them at first, but he ate six little pieces.
Grandpa Burgman loves to make pancakes in shapes. He made an airplane and an "Italy" for Abbey and then created this gingerbread alien man. The mistakes are usually amoebas.
Here is a nice Sunburst picture. Carter was quite a charmer to everyone up there. He was playing with Mary Jo before lunch and having a good time.
This one kills me. Laney thought Carter's car seat looked comfy, so she laid across it at the bottom. He thought it was really funny that he could grab her ears so easily! I took her off after a few pictures.
After our shower the other night, Carter got to wear some Christmas pajamas. I was afraid they would be too small by the end of December. He looks lovely in stripes.
Here's my big guy doing some push-ups. He's getting very good at getting where he wants to go. He rolls and scoots and kicks-off stuff.
Our little guy was quite cuddly with his Great Grandma Bonnie on Thanksgiving. He was giving her lots of nice little loves and big smiles!
This is one of our new games. He likes to ride on my leg and go up in the air. You can tell he thinks he's pretty cool.
I like his little goofy grin. He has a messy face and crazy hair and he's just fine with it!
He's such a ham for the camera now. Anytime he spots it, he just smiles. He was getting ready for a bath here.
This is just a random rolling picture. I think his little chubby fists are pretty cute.
Carter took a nice little shower with his Dad when we were in Sunburst. He enjoys the shower. He splashes, tries to eat the showerhead, and sticks his face in the water (as you can tell).
Grandma and Grandpa Barsness got him this little seat to use in Sunburst. It worked wonderfully. He thought he was pretty cool being up on the same chairs as all the grownups!
His sweet potato and turkey dinner wore him out. He even had a Thanksgiving bib on while he slept. He definitely can be "my little turkey".
Carter and Laney take a lot of naps this way. We really lucked out that our dog absolutely loves our baby. They are so cute.
This picture is hilarious. I love Laney's crazy face, Carter's naked legs, and him grabbing Kyle's head. It's just pretty funny.
This is just a happy guy before bed. He really does just love that aquarium. It usually entertains him for quite awhile.
This was the first night we brought out this monkey toy. Carter loved it. He ended up grabbing the monkey to make it stop dancing, and it would make this lovely grinding noise.

Carter's new sounds

Carter's new sounds are so sweet, if you enjoy a nice scream, which I do!

So Good.

This is Carter's new favorite snack! He does this whenever he sits up - yanks off a sock and tries chewing on it. He's got a good grip too.
He also likes to clench his fists together and yell every once in awhile. He kept doing it for Terri, Abb, and Jord on Sunday. They would laugh, and he'd think he was really funny (as you can tell)!
Jordan was sitting at the computer on Monday night, and Carter was doing everything he could to get her attention. When she'd look at him, he'd do a huge smile. He's a flirt.
I like his little lips in this picture. He loves to talk to and pet his puppy dog. Laney is so good about it too.
I caught him in the act of rolling. He's getting very mobile. I think I still have about a month before crawling though - guess we'll see.
We went for a little walk the other night. When we returned, Carter wanted to jump. He looks pretty funny with the hat on while he jumps.
Carter tried some Zwieback toast with his dinner. He found it to be quite tasty. He likes to turn it around a couple times before diving in.
Here's Carter and his buddy Jordan looking surprised! He looks pretty hefty in this picture - he'll make Jordo's arms buff.
The fam took Grandma Burgman to Great Harvest Saturday morning. Carter thought the new high chair and his Great Grandma were quite fascinating. He is a smily little man!
Uncle Kyle and Carter were playing on Friday night - very rare. We took away that paper that he stuck in his mouth right after! They had fun though.
Carter's new mealtime thing is to take two toys, put one is his mouth, and bang them together. It has resulted in a few bonks on the head. He likes the noise a lot.
I just like this silly little smile, and the onesie. I'm sure in no time he will be "Daddy's Little Tough Guy".
I think this is the cutest picture. I love his little chin. I love all of him though! He kind of looks like he has a secret.
Carter has discovered the joy of pulling on Grandpa's beard. Luckily Grandpa didn't mind. They are buddies.
Carter likes to turn sideways to look at things now. He'll just dive left or right while we're holding him. It makes you really pay attention!
I think Daddy was telling Carter about how wonderful LSU is at football. I'm sure Carter agreed, but he's still not a big hat fan.
