Cute stuff

Carter decided to play outside last night in the freezing wind for about 45 minutes when we got home from dinner. Dad and I played outside with him while Mom hung out with Avery. Afterwards Carter tried his first cup of hot cocoa. He kept saying "Num Num" and licking his lips.
Dad and Carter were playing "chicken" with the cars. Usually Dad would move out of the way at the last second, and Carter would laugh and laugh! Every once in awhile though there was a crash!
Can you tell he was having such a good time? Dad and I were freezing. Carter apparently can't feel cold as well as we can.
Avery was looking quite cute in her Mickey Mouse outfit from Aunt Nancy and Uncle Frank. We wanted her to wear it on Valentine's Day, but it was a little big. Carter kept pointing at Mickey Mouse all day long.
Mom got this cute pink bear suit for Avery when she was born. She finally kind of fits in it. The arms and legs are still a little long. She looked so lovely in it!
Carter had a great time with Jordan and this green ball on Saturday. He would throw it to her, and she would try to hit it with the racket. He's got a dangerous sidearm throw!
Carter said "Me hold Avery", so I let him. He's quite a nice little boy to his sister. I told him what a good big brother he was.
Avery was talking to Aunt Terri here. She's starting to make a lot of different noises now. It's very cute.
Carter was kind of jealous because Landon wanted to hang out with me on Friday. He wanted to just sit with me and cuddle. That's rare! He's my babyguy.
Here's my buddy Lando. He wanted to "see Mia" which is me. I was playing a nice little tune on his chest - he thought that was pretty funny.
Miss Avers took her first shower last week with her Daddy. She was so good - I had to take a picture. I love how she's all curled up on him.
I had her pretty towel all ready for her when she was done. She laid on the floor and Laney curled up next to her to keep her warm. Laney really loves Carter and Avery.
Don't they look like little troublemakers? They're actually good boys. They get a cup to rinse out their mouth (and play in the water) if they brush their teeth. Carter lets me brush his back ones.
I just happened to catch this cute little guy running around the house. I love the cheeks.
This is a big smile! She looks like she's posing with that hand up behind her ear - very modelesque. She must have known she looked beautiful in her sweater and jeans from Grandma and Grandpa Barsness.
She looks so peaceful when she's sleeping. Whenever she wakes up, she jams that fist into her mouth.
I got a couple action photos of the boys jumping on the bed. As you can see here, Carter is going backwards!
This one kills me. They like to land on their butts also.
Here's Avery sitting at the computer with Aunt Terri. She really wants to tell her something. She looks like she's listening too!
Here she is talking to me. I think it's so funny watching her little mouth move all over the place, trying to make a new noise.
Here's Carter and Landon helping Avery get her bouncer's waterfall going. They kept going over and kissing her head. It's funny how they say "Hi Avery" in their nice little voices!
Just a goofy face to finish off this week's blog. He was a good boy this weekend. I can't believe he'll be two in a month. Time flies!

Not the best

Here is a lovely video of Carter and Jordan dancing. Carter kind of boxes when he dances. The best part is Jordan trying to dance like him. They were dancing to the song that plays on Carter's Thomas the Train book from Grandma Bonnie.

The reason this week is titled not the best is because Carter has started throwing fits and being mean to Landon. Quite lovely. I'm hoping some of it is his big pointy teeth are finally about half way through...and he'll be two in a month. I guess we'll see. My girl is an angel though. She really is a good baby. I had to put this photo up for Nicole. She's wearing the little purple shoed outfit from her that is so cute.

Carter and Landon are very helpful about giving Grandma Vivian her cane. They really love to see her on Sunday mornings. I like when Carter says "Hi Grandma Bibian".

She really likes to suck on her whole hand if she can get it in her mouth. It drives Kyle crazy, but I think it's kind of cute. He just doesn't want her to be a thumbsucker.
This is her smiley morning face. I think this is so cute. She's starting to get some eyelashes to go along with those big dark blue eyes.
This is her trying to talk face. She makes some nice little sighs and coos. She looks like she wants to converse with us, but she just can't figure it out.
Carter took a fun bath with some of his new toys from Sunburst - his Thomas squeakers and his Nemo and Dory toy. He also looked smashing in his new froggy towel from Phil and Mary Jo. He's a spoiled little guy!
This is quite a physique. She's not a huge girl, but she does have some lovely thigh and arm rolls. She loves to kick and kick and kick!
This is how Carter was watching "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" on Saturday morning. He's starting to like that show. He also stole my granola bar, so he was pretty pleased with himself.

Abbey is pretty good at getting Miss Avers to take little naps. That was day Avery went through three outfits. Every time we changed her diaper, she'd pee all over. She knows the minute she's free!
Here's the other Abbey and Avery picture. Her eyes are about half way open in this one. She's not sure if she actually wants to sleep or not.

Mom got these hats for both boys a long time ago. Lando never wore his, so Carter has two. He thought it was hilarious that Jordan was wearing the same hat. He kept saying "Mom, one two hats!".

Here's Jocko (looking very colorful after dance) and her pal Avery chilling on the floor. Avery is a curious baby. She's always looking around - taking in everything.

He's looking awfully happy here because I told him he could play the Wii since he was being a good boy. Tennis is his favorite, but he also enjoys a good game of golf or bowling. When he bowls, he says "Swing and let go".

This is such a cute picture of Landon. He told Erica he wanted to hold Avery. He held her for about ten seconds and decided that was enough. Avery looks so happy too!

Landon has been doing this cool underbite thing lately. He walks around with this goofy smile on his face and his chin sticking way out. I didn't get a good pictue of it, but he looks handsome.

Carter loves to jump on Uncle Kyle's bed. I'm sure Kyle loves it too! He's wearing his cool jeans and 49ers shirt that Grandma and Grandpa Barsness got for him. It's so cute, very vintage. We're brainwashing him to like both the 49ers and the Redskins!

She's so funny. She's got that smile down now. I love the arm stretch too.

Dad was "attacking" Carter with his foot, and Carter was pretending to eat his toes. He kept leaning down and going "num num num". You can tell he was laughing so hard.

This is Carter's Elton John picture. He looked so funny in these glasses that Terri and Mom picked up at JoAnn's. I love how they are too big so you can only see half his eyes. He's wearing this sweatshirt that Auntie Kelsie got him. He's worn it three out of the last four days. He always says "My jacket!" so we don't forget it.

2 months already!

It was so nice here yesterday that Mom, Erica, Laney, the boys, and I all went for a long walk to feed the ducks. It was quite fun. Carter and Landon even got to take off their coats and hats on the way back!

One of the few pictures where both boys were in their strollers. They did a lot of walking and running. This was on the way back so they were both pretty tired. They were waving to me and Laney as you can see.
Just another "Cheese" picture. I love the crazy face he makes when he says it.
Speaking of crazy faces...this is the picture Erica took of their donut enjoyment. Sunday morning is always good for the boys - they get a nice breakfast and get to see Grandma Vivian.
I just thought this is such a cute little face. It's so rare that he's sitting still and not making a weird face! He looks so much like his Dad.
This is Avery's trying to smile face. Sometimes it takes her a minute to get those corners upturned! She was 2 months old yesterday - I can't believe it!
This was such a cute outfit. She had just taken a bath also, so she looked and smelled fantastic.
Avery got a nice blanket and rattle from one of Kyle's fellow police officers. Carter got a Mr. Potato Head. They are so nice about including Carter. Anyway, he decided to wear "tato head's hat" on his head!
She's so cute. She was getting ready for pajamas, and she looked lovely in her little brown, flowery onesie.
We went to the girls' basketball game on Thursday night. It was a good game (they got first in the conference again) and pretty fun to watch. We were the last ones in the whole gym of course - except the guy vacuuming!
This is Carter being a goofball at Erica and Landon's house. He really likes to go over there and play with all Landon's stuff. He asked me if we could go to Auntie's house and "cook pizza" on Sunday morning!
They were really good that night. They were laying on the flattened Lightning McQueen tent and being silly. Lando looks so funny holding his feet like that.
She is such an aware little baby. She really turns to find the source of people's voices.
Carterman is so funny. He decided one night that blue guy needed some socks on. He kept saying "I show you Momma" because I was laughing. So this is him showing me!
This is not the best picture, but it was a natural smile. No "cheese"! He was playing with the big exercise ball - always a fun time!
Here's my little double chin girl. She just seems so tiny that it makes me laugh that she has two chins and thigh rolls!
This picture is pretty cute. Avery and Aunt Erica hanging out on the couch. I like her polka dot outfit too.

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
