Crazies

After a big weekend with lots of fun, my babies crashed. It ended up being so nice that they just played outside all day. Avery loves to sleep with her head back like that. I don't know why. It looks really uncomfortable!
We didn't expect it to be so nice. I didn't even bring clothes for them. I thought it was going to be a pajama Sunday! They didn't care though - they had a good time with some chalk.
She was being so funny. She kept climbing in the back of the boys' bikes and pressing the buttons. Apparently that's funner than actually sitting in the seat. She looks so funny in her sweatshirt and pjs too.
We went for a little walk on the trail to feed the ducks. Carter looked awesome: pajamas, sweatshirt, hat, shoes, and walking stick. He's quite the explorer!
Lando was hilarious on his bike. He rode that thing for at least half a mile. When he gets going, he takes his feet off the pedals and cruises!
There he is working hard. That's some furious pedaling right there!
We went to the mall Friday night for about a half an hour so Erica could get a swimsuit. I took the kids to the play area. It was perfect because no one was there, and it was so cold outside. They ran off some energy! Landon is a monkey - he's a strong little guy.
Carter was saying "Choo Choo Bumpie". He has a Mickey Mouse movie where they sing "Choo Choo Boogie". He insists that it's bumpie, not boogie. Kind of makes me laugh!
This little girl is a maniac. I was taking off Carter's shoes and see her scrambling up the mats to the slide. I didn't think she could get on the little platform by herself, but she did. She had a great time going down on all fours as you can see!
I got them some little inflatable chairs at Kmart the other day. They love them! They were being so funny the night we first blew them up. Carter helped me use the little foot pump. Avery carries hers around which is hilarious!
I have a lot of silly pictures of the two of them this week. Avery really wanted to sit on Carter's chair with him. She knows the CARS characters better than the princesses right now! I believe Carter was saying "That's your chair Avers". He was surprisingly nice about it!
Carterman even fell asleep in his chair that first night. He was a tired guy.
My little goofball thinks she's so big. Here she is feeding herself some yogurt and making her new silly silly "cheese" face!
Carter has discovered that he really likes hot chocolate. Sometimes it's all I can use to get him inside when it's freezing out. He doesn't care about the cold, but I do!
After Carter took his clothes off the other night, Avery decided she needed to wear his shirt. She looks lovely!
Avers was having a great time hauling some of her stuffed animals all over the house one night when...
Carterman attacked poor Winnie the Pooh! Avery was actually laughing here as she tried to save Minnie. That face is killing me!
He is such a clown. He's got that tackle down very well. Now he just has to grow!
There is really nothing more fun than yelling together in perfect harmony - another crazy picture of my little goofies.
We moved the picnic table out by the kitchen and play food to make room for the new chairs. They have their own little restaurant now!
She is so weird. She always wants to put stuff on her head...usually Carter's stuff! Here she's styling some swim trunks. I think she can work with it!
You can't really tell the colors very well in this picture, but Ave's room is pretty much done. She has Carter's toddler bed with Landon's Eric Carle bedding (she loves those books). Her room is a really light yellow on three walls, with a plum wall and trim. It turned out really well. I'll get a better one for next week.
A cheese face again! She was showing me her beautifully clean teeth. She loves to brush her teeth. Carter will do it as long as he gets a Dixie cup to rinse with afterwards.
And finally, a very silly video of Avery showing off how smart she is. She's starting to finally say some words that I can understand! Enjoy.

A nice week, now it's snowing!

Poor Abb. This is the aftermath of a Carter/Abbey wrestling match. Carter kept trying to sit on her head (after he had taken off his pullup). Then he said he was a dog and was trying to lick her face. Poor Abb.
It was absolutely gorgeous here this weekend - almost 55 degrees. Perfect for running and playing down at the park. Daddy captured Carter here. I'm not sure how since he's so fast.
This little girl had about the best weekend ever. She absolutely loves being outside. She ran all over C Street Park!
There's my boy's fantastic running form. He loves to chase his puppy around the park. It's an excellent little workout for both of them.
Look at that blue sky! Look at that silly Avery swinging face!
He's getting very good at climbing the curvy ladder. Sometimes I'm surprised at how careful he can be since he's such a maniac.
I like this windswept hair look. She walks with purpose!
She was also an excellent help out in the front yard at Poppa's house. It's funny to see her out there. She's going to absolutely love the summer!
On Saturday we walked from our house to Poppa's (about a mile). This was Carter's idea, and it was quite fun. Avery the independent decided to walk the entire way. She did not want anyone to hold her hand, and she did not want us to carry her over mud puddles or snow. She thinks she's so big. They found the chains on the fire hydrant really fascinating.
After we had walked there, Carter wanted to take his bike around. He is so funny - he always stops even with the Stop signs! There's Grandpa and Grandma Connors old house. It looks very nice - good memories.
We have to stop many times on the bike ride to play with the neighborhood nice dogs.
This is just a nice shot of my big girl. We couldn't believe how fast she was moving. She fell a couple times, but just wiped off her hands and kept going!
This is almost a nightly occurence - playing with the tons of CARS Carter has. He is very good at sharing with Avers. As long as he has the mean cars that run Mack off the road, he doesn't care what she plays with.
He's got so much room with his new bed. He loves it. It's perfect for chilling with his sister and watching Ninja Turtles.
This is her new obsession. She loves to take off Carter's shoes for him at pajama time. She also helps my Dad take his shoes and socks off every night.
I took my boy for a haircut this week. Usually he goes with Daddy, but it was just so long. He was hilarious. He loves to get his haircut. He laughs when they use the razor by his ears and neck.
Just a funny big face picture. My little monkey is getting four teeth right now - all on the bottom. She's been pretty good about it, just a little drooly!
Lastly, Kyle and I took the three kids to Father Sheehan park on Monday. They had a great time. We got ice cream afterwards too - what could be better? I'm not sure what the boys are yelling on the bridge, but they look cute.
Avers wanted to do some swinging, but she did not want to let go of her rocks. I'm just glad she wasn't trying to eat them!
What a silly boy smile. He's a handsome little devil!
We need to get Ave some new shoes. She wore these little shocks because we knew the sand would be wet. They were a little small, but she did great in them. She just kept staring at her feet while she marched around. Good times!

Very random silliness

This one is for Mary Jo. My Mom said I should put a picture up to show her how the Amarylis she gave Mom for Christmas is flourishing! It's pretty amazing how tall it is. Very pretty!
We had a big weekend of house projects. We finally got Avery's room cleaned up, taped, and ready to paint. I'll put pictures up when it's done. Carter's also got a new big boy bed. He absolutely loves it!
Not a very good picture, but he is in heaven on this bed (so are Laney and Avery)! He was hilarious picking out blankets for it. He took a long time looking at all his options and finally decided on Spiderman. He kills me. We didn't put the frame up yet. We figured the closer to the ground the better right now.
I can't even explain how silly this girl is. She makes me laugh constantly, which is her goal! This is a goofy little face.
How's this for a look? She's just like her brother - always wanting to run around in the nude.
See that little red dot on the carpet. Kyle had a laser pointer and these two looked like little cats chasing after it!
He put the dot on Carter's head. Avery was trying her best to grab it!
She thinks she is so big. She doesn't want any help ever. She likes to climb on the laundry basket and "jump" to Uncle Kyle.
Landon really loves this headress Mom got for St. Patrick's Day this year. I think I told him to say "Cleopatra" or something.
Avery saw Carter running around in gloves, so she thought she needed some too. She was messing up his hair with them. She looks so proud of herself!
More hiding. I thought this might not last very long, but she still loves it. She's absolutely positive no one can see her back there!
We played some more Rockband this weekend. The boys are sure that they are the best drummers around.
Landon was dancing while it was Carter's turn on the drums. He does an awesome dance where his elbows swing up - it's a sight to behold!
Carter got his first action figures this week - Shredder and Leonardo. He loves them. He's very careful with them. He puts all their little pieces in a plastic bag before bed.
Last but not least, we went to Erica's last Monday. Ave hasn't been there in awhile. She made herself quite comfortable in Landon's chair, had some chocolate and juice, and played with the train!

Some videos finally

Here's my favorite one - Avery dancing and being silly on a lazy Saturday:

A very dark one - However, you can hear the boys singing the Ramones. Instead of "Hey Ho, Let's Go", they say "E I O Let's Go"!

Auntie Erica tickling Avery and her silly laugh:

Another quite funny one of my girl, I've been slacking on her videos for quite awhile. Here she is having a very good time in the tub!
