Huge Post

We were up at the KC a couple weekends ago for my friend Burnsie's retirement party, so we tried to get a picture of Carter next to Great Grampa Winks!

Here is a picture of one of his fourth of July outfits. This one was from Kyle's co-worker Aretta. He wore it to the parade.
This is from the 3rd of July. Carter didn't mind the big fireworks at all. He just likes to cuddle!
I like how blue his eyes are when he wears something blue. I'm not sure if they will stay that color though - they seem to be getting kind of gray.

Another "football induced" daze picture. Sort of random, but I love his striped puppy onesie too.
Here's Grampa's new favorite thing: the double stroller. Landon thinks he's pretty cool out in front, and Laney likes having me to herself so she can smell everything. Carter just hangs out as usual.
This is how we've had dinner lately. The adults eat at the picnic table in the nice evening weather, while the boys amuse themselves. They are very good little guys!

This hot weather is onesie weather. Erica and I decided plain white onesies are too boring, so we created some "classic rock" ones for the boys. Here Carter is getting the "LED" out! Anyone who knows me knows the Beatles are my favorite. I'm sure he will eventually enjoy them as well.
This picture kills me. I like how he is pointing at "The Who" logo like he is the coolest baby around.
Here's a little David Bowie. Not the Ziggy years, they were a little weird for me.
These last two he was bouncing on the exercise ball with his Dad. He was having a very good time as you can see!

These next two are laughing pictures with Grandma Patsy. She was talking to him and he was giggling like crazy.

Last random one. We tried out his carrier last weekend for a morning walk. He seemed to not mind it at all - he never seems to mind anything. We lucked out in the calm baby department!

New Firsts!

Carter went to his first wedding this weekend: Geah Ries and Eric Zahler. He was a very good boy. He looked very handsome chilling on the floor at the reception.

Jordan had to answer the phone the other day while she was feeding him. It looked like he was holding the bottle himself, so she took a picture. I just like how huge the bottle looks next to him!
I just like how he looks in his robe. He got all clean and spiffed up for the wedding.

I had to include this picture of our good dog. She lets Landon play with her tags all the time. She doesn't even get mad when he occasionally yanks on them.

Just another happy boy picture. He loves to smile at Abb, Jord, and Aunt Erica every morning!
I'm brainwashing him early. My boy is going to be a Duke fan!
I had to show another peaceful sleeping picture. His chubby cheeks just kill me.
Here are the cute guys in their swim trunks and tank tops. Totally buff, right? They were going to swim in the pool in our front yard, but Carter fell asleep!

First jog with Mom! My friend Ritter (Melissa Swanson) brought over her cutie, Madisyn, and we went for a jog together. Madisyn and Carter's jogging strollers worked great. Here are all three babies hanging out - do you like Carter's drool spot?
First swim! This was after Carter's first swim at the YMCA. Erica and I took the boys last Tuesday. Landon was a little afraid of the big fountain, but Carter enjoyed himself. He even kicked his legs when I put him on his stomach in the water.
This was before we left the Y. Poor Lando was not so happy. I just included this one because Carter is starring at the football. His dad is also brainwashing him!
Abb let Carter suck on her shoulder while she was getting his bottle ready. Here's the end result! She said she could feel it, but didn't think it would leave a mark. He's a strong little guy!

We went to Geah Ries's bridal shower on Sunday. Carter was very good and apparently very tired!



After the shower, Carter hung out with a newly shorn Laney on the floor. I like how his romper says "Woof Woof" right next to her.
I like this position - kind of a starfish thing. I think Jordan got him to fall asleep like this one day.
Same outfit, different day, still a sleepy guy. It sure doesn't seem like he sleeps this much!
Mom, Erica, Landon, and Carter went to Josh's first birthday this weekend. I was coaching unfortunately. This is my "little sport" stretching on his great-aunt Diane.

I just like this full body shot. He's got some nice leg rolls and his cute onesie says that he "plays sports with Daddy". Soon enough, I'm sure!
We had a big week last week with volleyball camp and Breanne staying with us. Mom babysat in the morning with Abb and Jord (who are lifesavers) while Big Kyle and Grandpa had the afternoons. Carter likes to cuddle up with his babysitters!
Jordan was making him smile one morning and got this funny picture. He's always a happy little man in the mornings.



We took a trip to Silver Bow on Friday. Jordan and Breanne took Carter on the carousel. He liked all the bright colors and lights there.

I heard Carter had a big, bad diaper on Friday morning. So bad that Mom, Terri, Abb, and Jord had to give him a bath in the kitchen sink. He seems pretty fine with it!




After his bath and a bottle, it was nap time with Abbey again!
I just think this outfit is hilarious. It has a big crab on the butt too. Check out his huge muscles!

Sunburst weekend and random

We went on our first overnight trip to Sunburst this weekend. As you can see he didn't mind the change of scenery at all! He was talking to us on Sunday morning...

And smiling like a little goofball!




Carter got to meet his Aunt Aly, who was able to put him right to sleep. She has the touch!



He also met his Uncle Chris. He was very happy chilling while Chris bounced his leg underneath him.


Here he and Laney are after a big day out at the farm. We had some delicious ribs and pork chops at Phil and Mary Jo's.

This was on the way out to Great Grandma Bonnie's. I just like his new big cheeks!





I don't really like this picture of me, but he looks so cute reading his books! Laney, of course, is right there listening as usual.

This was after a bath one night. He was just too warm and comfortable for tummy time!




He did give us a little bit of lifting action. He's a pretty strong guy.

This is his really cool basketball romper. Hopefully he continues to like this great number as he gets older!
This is his really cute cords outfit from Landon. It's been kind of chilly lately, so I'm glad he got to wear it.
