Superbowl Hike and more!

My little man (who will be one in a week!) has the bluest eyes. I think they are going to stay that way now - we do have some blue eyes on both sides of the family. I love them!
Another example of that! He's just a cute little fella.
It was NFL day at daycare. Ave wore the Seahawks dress Mom and Dad got her when they watched the Redskins/Seahawks game in Seattle (although we don't root for them, the dress is so cute!), Teague went with Griz (since we couldn't find Carter's old 49ers shirt), and Carter went with 49ers!
My boys being silly. They are always silly!
My girl is just a cute little thing...even when she's making silly faces.
Friday was kind of decent out. It's so hard to believe it's February right now. We played outside for a little bit with Poppa. Here's Carter in the tree. I love that tree. I used to sit in it and read!
Teague loved it! It's the first time since he's been able to walk that he could just roam the yard. He was on a mission to walk back and forth and not look at me!
Two crazies in the tree. They are awfully cute together. I'll enjoy it while it lasts!
There's a Teagie pie in the tree. He wanted to be up there...until he was up there. He would much rather walk around and push the little lawnmower!
Teague is so smart. He's starting to say words like "ball", "pup", and "Poppa" along with Mama and Dada. We told him that treat was for the puppy, and he gave it right to her! He also tried to brush my hair this week and wipe my nose with a Kleenex. He's brilliant!
Carter and Landon got invited to their daycare friend Moriano's birthday party. They were so good and had  blast. They're growing up...
They've been very into sleepovers lately. Carter and Ave stayed with Landon Friday night. Then Landon stayed with us Saturday night. We had an epic game of Hide-n-Seek - two hours (followed by some Simon Says)! Carter hid under our little cardboard house and no one ever found him!
I helped Ave hide in the canvas laundry basket. It was an awesome spot. No one found her until the laundry basket started giggling!
Kyle put Landon on top of Carter's dresser and covered him with the Halloween costumes. It took Carter quite a while to find him! We had a good time.
Superbowl Sunday was gorgeous (and the game, food, and outcome were great!). We decided to go for a hike before the Superbowl started. Ave asked where we were going, when I turned around I was shocked to see Optimus Prime in the back of Erica's car! She makes me laugh!
We went to Maud S. Canyon on the East Ridge. It has a lot of nice trails. These boys liked to be the leaders...especially Landon. Dad thinks he's going to be a cross country runner. He was always quite a bit ahead of us!
These two had a break on a rock and yelled that they were "explorers!". Notice the unmatching gloves. We were not prepared for outdoor adventures, but we made it work (as wise Tim Gunn would say).
I like this shot. It lasted about one minute before they decided the trail was to small to all hold hands.
We made it up pretty high - compare this one to that first picture of Carter and Landon walking! Dad took a picutre of us on a giant rock. Kyle and Teague stayed home for this adventure. Teague would have wanted to climb all by himself!
A little closer. You can tell how sunny it was!
You can barely tell, but Ave was holding some flowers she picked for me and Auntie Erica. She was such a trooper - those little legs climbed and climbed! Carter found any snow he could and tried to make snowballs to throw at Poppa!
Teague kept attacking Carter to try and take Kyle's IPhone. I had to get a picture of these pants. Mom got them for him last week. They are casual cargos and (according to the tag) are perfect for a game of backyard football! He looked so cute!

Lots of fun!

Sorry Erica. She was not ready for me to take this picture. Teague has the cutest smile though. He is just one handsome little guy!
Mom got him these 9 month overalls for Christmas, and she was afraid if he didn't wear them soon he would grow out of them. Well...we don't have to worry about that. We had to roll them a couple times! He looked awfully cute though.
Bubble bath time at Grandma and Poppa's house. Every once in a while, they like to dig out their old friends Sky (blue fish), Tomato (red fish), and Corn (yellow fish). Carter named those a long, long time ago!
Once again, a super cute Teagie smile. He's a very silly little boy. You should see him walk now - he practically runs!
I think this was the day they helped Auntie Erica make cupcakes. That would explain why they are on the table. I can't explain what Carter is doing to Ave's head. She looks happy though!
Ave and Abb showing off their masterpieces! Ave spilled on her shirt, Carter is just weird (and always likes to be almost naked). Lando is just diligently frosting away.
I bought Teague a mini basketball of his own to match the ones Carter and Ave got for Easter a couple years ago. He plays with it every night. He carries it everywhere and says "ball".
Carter was working on his "skills" as he says. I told them we were going to a gym in the morning to play basketball with tons of other kids, so he had to practice of course.
It's been so cold and windy here...I hate it. I wish we at least had some snow to play in, but that's climate change for you. Anyway, we went to the mall play thing just to run off some energy. Ave was being "Statue of the Rockies" here!
Carter and Landon were very good about helping the baby guy go down the slide with them. I couldn't get too many pictures though because Teague was crazy. The boy has no fear!
The Lil Dribbler basketball is pretty much open gym for kids 2-5 (although babies are welcome too). Mike Bauer set it up with the Mariah's Challenge Foundation and Pepsi is sponsoring it (all the kids get T-shirts). I think it's a great idea and all the kids had fun. Lando and Ave came in their basketball shoes, ready to play.
They had four different size basketballs, balloons, and many hoops. Carter mostly played catch with his Dad and balloon "no-touch-the-ground" with me and Ave. He's a wild man.
Teague also had a great time. He must have looked pretty small to be walking around with basketballs. We had many comments on how cute he is!
Saturday night was the policemen's annual party/raffle/dinner, also known as the one night a year we go out. We had fun, and we weren't shut out this year. We won two gift certificates for dinners (the perfect gift for me...I love food)!
Little Kyle joined us...and he was in rare form. Good times!
Ave found her bath paint she got for her birthday from Grandma and Grandpa Barsness (blue for Carter, yellow for Ave, red for Teague...surprise, surprise). They all ended up sharing colors and having lots of fun with it - look at Teague's goofy grin!
When we got our new couches we found an old puka shell necklace under the love seat. I have no idea whose it is. Ave used it to wrap her and Carter up with Daddy after the bath. Such happy kids!

Very random - just chilling.

We haven't gone swimming in awhile. For some reason, our Saturday mornings have been busy. So these guys were super excited to go! Can you tell?
Teague had a great time too! He loves the water. He splashes and splashes. He also looks amazing in his swim trunks...check out that body!
Teague played with his friend KR at the basketball game on Thursday. They were pretty cute together. Teague brought a ball for them to share!
My silly Ave on Sunday morning with her babies (Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Tiana, Cinderella, Snow White, Tangled, Vector Sandwich, and Soft Belle). Big Baby was there too, but she had already been "concentrated". According to Avery, you pick a baby, dance with it, jump once, and then they can sit against the wall because they have been "concentrated". We need to find a better term!
These three have been playing very well together lately (they've been on a Backyardigans kick - a show on Nickelodeon they all like!). Here they are riding the Kyle-horse. Look at those cheesy grins!
Teagie's been wearing a bib almost all the time now. He is super drooly and messy as you can see. There's more teeth coming. I can see them!
This is Teague's favorite toy in the whole world - a mini basketball. Every single night he carries this around! He looks so sweet and handsome in this picture.
A pile of pillows always brings the kids together. This is probably their favorite thing to do. Teague especially - he runs to the pile!
Teague's new thing is to roll backwards on everything. He throws his head back...and hopefully there is a pillow or my hand to catch the silly boy!
Snack time! Teaguers could eat multi-grain cheerios for every meal!
These two have been super nice lately...getting over those sinus infections helped. They both just love their brother too. They chase him, play peek-a-boo, and give him loves. They are excellent big siblings!
Carter wanted to take pictures with my camera last night. This is one of his pictures! Doesn't Poppa look thrilled to be correcting finals?
The three of them played very well last night. I tried to get one of them all smiling...didn't really succeed. Still  cute though!
Lastly, Teague found his tongue. He was having a good time sticking it out and singing, "La, la, la, la"!

July - August 2019

My friend Michelle was in town from Las Vegas. Her brother and sister-in-law always have a fun barbecue for everyone here in town. Dana, Jas...
